Ordered a pair of the lined trousers but they are too big, returning them for a small size, also ordered the white fleece, the prices are so good just the thing for winter around my COLD house. Thanks to original poster ,you are a star!

Hope mine fit, I am a size 14 (on the upper side of 14) some 14's are tight so ordered a 16 thinking a bit of extra room would be better when walking through snow. I did check the length I'm quite tall and the regular length is 31" so will be fine for me, I measured the inside leg of a pair of good fitting trousers that I own.

Got my confirmation email this morning so hopefully they will arrive soon.

Picking up on the debate about people dying of cold, I came across this article. Being a cynic, I checked the figures with the National Statistics website.

It is real and not an urban myth.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

Pollys you are the same size as me. Next jeans I can have 14 but some of their jackets and tops I have to edge over into 16 and if it is a jacket it could be 18. Jane Norman was the worst their sizing was completely to pot! So in the end I never shopped in there. No wonder the place went bust. Sometimes with M&S it is 14/16 as well, just depends.

Who fancies telephoning Craghoppers then and admitting to liablility for recommending their fleece liners :rotfl:hands up don't all rush at once :rotfl:

Thank you - I've just ordered 5! Should make a huge difference to the bathroom, living room and my bedroom this winter.

Now I've just got to do something about the kitchen, and find a door curtain for the front door. That will probably be something cobbled together from emergency pound shop blankets and an old duvet cover.

    :j

Just what I needed for my bathroom and our little boys room.... I ordered 4 sadly there are only olive and navy left..... these were ok for me.

:D thanks preppers for posting this brilliant find ....

I've spent a bit of time reading this thread over the past couple of days so thanks for all the tips and advice from everyone.

Last winter I bought a box of Hotties hand warmers from Amazon and found them so wonderful that I bought boxes for friends too. Disposable but fantastic and biodegradable.

I've just checked my Amazon account and these cost £19.00 odd last year and with postage came to £24.00 odd.

Just found the coolest pair of socks ever when clearing out my wardrobe! I got them for Christmas last year and they are amazing. It's basically just a thick pair of socks, so far so boring, but they have a little pocket on each one, and come with two mini heat packs. The ones where you flick the metal bit and they go really hot. They are perfect for me as I ALWAYS have cold feet. They came from Marks and Spencer, and were only about £5 I think. I'm hoping they have more in this winter as they are great!

Hi, I am a serial lurker. I love reading this thread. I have just been on the craghoppers website and ordered lined trousers for myself and partner. Also ordered some fleeces each as well. Thank you for the recommendation.

    Hi guys

Happy to report I get my freezer this month so I can make a start with my winter stockpile and have had a bit of practice with meat and veg casseroles lately so know Im capable - now to find the best deals on meat and Ill be sorted. Me and mother in law have decided to go half's on a giant bag of potatoes and carrots at the end of November too so that should almost see us through the winter months each. Fingers crossed.

QUESTION! Wanted to ask - whilst getting sheets out earlier I realised my water tank has a thermostat - whats the best temp to have this at as we only use it for dishes as we have an electric shower and no bath and I think its currently on 70 degrees! Its on literally for half an hour
    Time to find me again
