BooHoo I missed the postie, so my Craghoppers are sitting in the sorting office till tomorrow! :( On the plus side, I raided the local charity shops today and got a pair of curtains that'll do two doors :j and for just £4.99!!! Just need some fleece to back them with (back to charity shops) and I'll be sorted.

OH was laughing at my snow shovel today, apparently I should have got a boat... its not stopped all day :D

Almost put the heating on, honestly, this weather is ridiculous this summer, so glad I didnt splash out on lots of summer gear.

Loved the post about commission for Craghoppers they must be thinking they have the best product ever, flying of the shelves lol!!! :D

thanks for the link for the craghopper trousers. Well spotted. Just what I need for the allotment. I've also ordered this cosy fleece: http://www.craghoppers.com/buy/kumara-half-zip-fleece-194601

Theres some really good bargains on their site at the moment!

Thanks for this - I've just ordered it too......had to really restrain myself from buying the fleecy trousers too, now I wish I had and saved on postage :(

    Right

I have my eyes set on a nice pair of hiking boots that will get their wear this winter....being that Im now up the top of a valley and my work and local shop is at the bottom - as is the school :(

Anyway I was wondering because there is a good chance of snow and rain in wales this winter, what do you all think of these?

This was the first pair I came to that are in a wearable colour and they match my coat :D but Im thinking they might be a sensible buy for the school run etc.

They're nice but what sort of boots are you thinking of getting with them?
As my dad always used to say 'Just because you've got the money doesn't mean to say you have to spend it all at once'

Hey thats a good price :D

Nataz I am holding off putting the heating on - on principle so have got myself a chunkier cardie out of the wardrobe. I didn't do too much swapping over of my winter to summer wardrobe this year either :)

Bramble - we want snow to just to show off that we have our first ever snow shovel and to 'test drive' it :rotfl:
Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money :D

    Hi Sammy_Kaye,
I was wondering if this is what you meant by hiking boots? If so, please double check as to me they seem like the gaiters that go over the boots and the bottom part of your trousers. I would hate to think of you expecting some nice boots to arrive only to receive these instead :o. I am sure they are perfectly good gaiters but just hope that you are looking at the right product for your needs!

    Afternoon Preppers!

It has been persistently raining here today so I was very pleased when my coal-man arrived with 8 sacks of seasoned logs IN WATERPROOF BAGS! They are now stacked next to the sacks of coal that I already have :D.

I have ordered some of the blinds mentioned on here earlier and am thinking about buying a few more HWBs, some for me but mostly to give as gifts with bright knitted covers, along with mugs and sachets of Hot Chocolate for CHR***mas (sorry:rotfl:). Am now off to inspect my ever increasing list of things to do prep-wise and hopefully cross a few more off if I can!

I might start knitting some more fingerless gloves this evening and maybe start a couple of scarves too!

Hoping you are all keeping warm and DRY!!
