Lovely day to day, a bit chilly but lovely sunshine and a line of washing almost dry. Just 10 mins in the dryer to finish it off, very money savingingly pleased.
Very cold here this evening though, heating on again sadly, but with my dodgy old joints no choice really.
Can't believe what a crock I've become..back in the day I used to work all day and dance all night in stilleto heels, probably why I'm done for now!
Still stuff in the garden are budding so not long now to spring and turning the heating OFF! And being able to walk upright..LOL.0 -
I havent seen the sun for MONTHS!!! well. ages ! I'm so tired of winter now, and the forecast of a cold wet summer is not helping anything.0

They can't forecast for the next week with any kind of accuracy so I wouldn't take it as gospel about the summer.
Remember the 'barbecue' summer? I lost a tent to the gale force wind and torrential rain that 'barbecue' weather.
Cold and wet??? get the factor 50 out!0 -
It's still very cold here. Checking the damage today it looks like we've lost our palm tree although it's survived some harsh winters before.... big clumps falling out. TBH I don't really mind, prefer old fashioned indigenous (?) varieties. If we have to get rid I'd rather have a nice fruit tree. I'll watch and wait. Stay warm everyone. Think of you every time I pass through Carters Bar Mardatha:)The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

I saw the man 'that forecasts the weather by studying the sun spots' (sorry, that is the best I can do, can't remember his name:o) earlier this year and he was saying we're in for a wet and cool Spring and Summer:(. I gather he is far more accurate than the Met office etc and he was certainly spot on with his prediction for last Summer. Someone a lot cleverer than me, will be along with his name and a link in a little while no doubt:D0 -
Well we had snow here this week - only settled on the very high ground though. Rather weird seeing the new lambs in the fields with a back drop of snow. Nights are still freezing, the gritters are still coming through a few nights a week so I think we arent out of the woods yet a while
The snow drops are in bloom but still no sign of daffs. But then spring really never gets much of a hold until March up here. Then we get summer in May and June - then Autum from July onwards when its rain, rain and more rain - till the snow comes around again0 -

That reminds me of a song I heard - it might have been Flanagan and Allen (no I'm not old enough to remember them) where they sing about the weather in the different months of the year. Basically it rains all the time in it :rotfl:0 -
We woke up to heavy lashing sleet that turned to rain and went off. Now thick freezing horrible mist.
Hill lambing here is beg of April and it always snows at lambing.
