I don't know about everyone else, but I can't believe that this winter is over yet! Feb, March & April normally has lots of horrors to throw at us but today is positively balmy! I'm wearing a summer dress and a light cardie to work (still wearing my boots though:p)
BRrr it's wet and windy here no sun at all i've got my thermals on,no summer cloths for me yet.0 -
Still blowing a gale here and heavy lashing rain. BBC Scotland has pics of houses up in the islands with roofs off and boats broken their moorings, and there was a gust in Glencoe registered at 131mph. Horrible day outside, we just missed a wheelie bin that blew over the road in front of us up on the moor - mad thing is that there are no houses within MILES of the road up there so god knows where it came from ! Snow forecast for this afternoon .0

Wow mardatha you can keep your snow.
I'm sitting in my pyjama bottoms as my jeans are wet from the dog walk. Looking out our window, the rain is just pouring, but pouring sideways!
re candles - our local £land has plenty or did have last week. Also saw quite a lot of ordinary candles in A$da earlier this week. I got a box from there at Christmas and it was the last pack but they have stocked up. Our lights have been flickering for the past couple of days.
Going to put the soup ot on this afternoon as that always warms me up as well as warming up the kitchen. Something chunky and nourishing. Not sure what yet. Maybe spicy lentil.
I am looking forward to spring but don't think we've seen the last of winter. In Aberdeen area we used to get snow any time up 'til end of April and I have a feeling it was the same a bit further south last year.

Aye, we get snow any time up to the end of April down here - except when we get it in June of course :snow_laug
We had snow last weekend and they tell us we'll have it again this weekend.brr
I'm a bit worried at the moment. I really don't like the sounds the roof's making..._pale_
The fleece-lined, doubled up curtains are doing a marvellous job though.:DTime flies like an arrow.
Fruit flies like a banana.

Becareful what you wish for!!!C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down. Only after the last fish has been caught. Only after the last river has been poisoned. Only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten."l! ilyë yantë ranya nar vanwë"0 -

Wet and windy here! I hate strong winds, find them a bit scary:eek: The noise down the chimney was so bad last night I gave up on trying to hear the telly and had an early night. Much better, tucked in with a cup of tea and a book. I used to laugh at my mother when she used to do that, now it's such a treat:o
'Ne'er cast a clout 'til May is out' It'll be a while before I start peeling some of my layers off. My OH dubbed it 'the dance of the 7 fleeces', around Maytime if we're lucky!:rotfl:The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

I'm the same Eeny, I hate the noise wind makes in the chimney and this house always feels like the roofs lifting off. The wind on Thurs night was hellish.0
