omg my boots came already and I only ordered them yesterday.

    Blimey that was quick!

edit: my boots are white but I reached a point of not caring as it wa so hard to find something suitable. I would normally have gone for a darker colour but needs must

I'm sure people will be looking more at the ground in trepidation rather than your boots so you will be ok. :D

Doesn't your DD have one? maybe she pick you up for an emergency sweetie run :D

    I've got cold feet :(
Have 2 pairs of socks on, one thin wool pair and a fleece pair ontop.
I've been wearing my hiking boots indoors but it feels 'clumpy', need some warm but cheap slippers.

    Any slipper recommendations?

My snow shoe attachment things came today. The ones that were on grabitnow.com a couple of weeks ago, that were mentioned here. Plenty of ice here still, so I've just tested them out and they do work. So much easier to walk outside holding onto a toddlers hand.

I'm not too sure of the lasting quality though. They might not survive till next winter! In which case, I'll splash out on the better ones.

I was just thinking its not funny now. Its so cold it hurts your nose & throat to breathe outside unless you have a scarf over your mouth and nose. The rones have come down all round the house now and theres still a foot thick wodge of very hard ice sitting on the eaves ready to jump off & kill somebody lol. My kitchen windows are iced halfway up inside and I cant get my feet warm unless I shove them in the stove :D But we've got coal and food and tea ..albeit no sweeties !
    - and I'm listening to this mad c&w internet radio station in Georgia, with all those really howly sad songs :rotfl: Plus "The Rednecks Christmas " which is hilarious, and now its some guy singing that all his exes live in Texis and thats why he's in tennessee :rotfl:

If things keep going up much more we will all have a red neck christmas......:D

Did you have to send your snow down to us Mardatha?:(
I hope you'll be as generous with your maltesers.

I have to ask - it's been bothering me for ages - what does RV stand for (apart from recreational vehicle)?

Lurch reckons it's Royal Vastness. :p
