Hello all, Long time lurker here again
Hope everyone who has got the snow is keeping safe and warm, hopefully it will let up soon to allow you all to emerge so to speak!
We have been rather lucky here in west lancs, have only had a dusting of the stuff, nothing to write home about, but judging by the news reports its pretty bad every where else!
Hopefully it will let up soon for you all, untill then keep safe everyone:)If your neighbour's grass is greener, its time to water your lawn!:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Well you'll all be pleased to know I found DD some wellies. After an hour going around EVERY SINGLE SHOP. lol. Got some nice ones that she likes from Barratts in the end, £13 (I thought he said £30 for a second, I was about to tell him where to shove them!!!) :rotfl:
Crazy afternoon though, people were leaving work one by one throughout the morning, just myself and a few other local-based walkers/cyclers, I was out welly hunting when they announced the building was closing so we all had to go home! Luckily a workmate texted and I got back in time to get my house keys...0 -
Sylvan, just wait till London gets an inch... the tv will go mad ! When this settles down I'm going to Costco to stock up on UHT milk. It's bound to be better than the dried stuff !
Morrison's tastes less UHT-y than most. There's also one called Moo Organic. We buy it whenever they have the buy 2 get 1 free offers.
(Why does it keep telling me my message is too short? It's 110 characters. I've counted! )
3rd day - 11th or 12th attempt - if it doesn't work this time I shall sulk...Time flies like an arrow.

I'm in the south of Scotland, but I'm high up. God knows what its like further north
I was talking to a lady in Thurso this afternoon and she said they have hardly any snow.
I suppose that even though they're so much further north than we are being at a much lower altitude must be what makes the difference.
Our 12 year old dog has finally learnt some sense. She normally bounces through the snow, disappearing and reappearing like a yoyo - and she's always way out in front of everyone else. This afternoon she decided it made more sense to let DH break the trail:rotfl:
I'm really worried about the ancient freezer in the garage getting too cold and giving up the ghost. I've heard that it's the fat content of foods that makes it dangerous to refreeze after thawing. Does that mean things like vegetables, plums and rhubarb would be safe?Time flies like an arrow.
