we have had another power outage this afternoon; only a couple of hours but annoying still.
especially as we have now found that the camping stove which worked perfectly when we last used it is no longer working, so we have no backup cooking facilities apart from the charcoal bbq or coal fire
it is now snowing again hereMy self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
So we’re empty nesters.
Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman0 -
Hope this picture works - I don't think I'll be hanging washing out any time soon :rotfl:0

More snow showers on & off all day and a terrific blizzard outside now. Think we better sit it out until April !
I told ya last night to go to bed till spring, I'll shout ya when it's time to come out.
Seriously though, do hope your OK, we've had a bit of snow here, but everything is still running and going on more or less as normal.
It must be very difficult coping in the exteme north.
Take care.0 -

You can make a buddy burner, you can only use it OUTDOORS and it is a little slow but you will be able to make a brew.

I can.
It's one thing not turning up for a 9 to 5 job, another if you are in the forces and don't turn up for duty. I guess the drivers were probably RAF personnel fearing a charge if they didn't get into work.
Should have clarified this is a disused RAF camp ( no MOD here since early 80s) so all private housing, all the abandoned cars were going off the camp to try and get out to work or wherever was that important. My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
