:grouphug: Get well soon Confuzzled. Those flasks sound ideal for OH to carry home made soup to work. Does microwaveable mean you heat the soup in the flask with the microwave at first? Sounds good to me, saves on washing up:D I'll have a look today. Thanks ..., sorry forgotten who posted it:o:)The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

It was me who said about the microwavable flasks. Yes, you do just put the flask in the microwave! Like you say, it saves on the washing up! It does say that if you put tomato or darkly coloured soup in that it may stain, but as long as its clean (and it can go in the dishwasher too!!) who cares what colour it is!Married the absolute love of my life on Sunday May 6th and I couldnt be happier!!!0 -
arghhhhhhhhhhhh I just bought a thermos yesterday - didn't realise it was glass inside (thought they stopped making them from glass?) and food has to be heated, thermos warmed with boiling water before loading with soup/drinks etc.....
what a palava!!! But it was reduced to £4.
Wish I had known about the microwaveable ones.... do you have a link to them please?0 -
Every third week when my DH is on his late shifts (3-midnight) I have to catch the late train home from work. I finish work at 6pm and by then have just missed the 5.45pm train so have to wait for the next one at 8.40pm. Sat there on a cold platform is not nice.....so tonight I have been looking for nice thermal "bits" to keep the chill off. Thermal vest/t.shirts and long janes, socks and hat scarf and gloves. Hopefully in a couple of weeks time I will be prepared and will be toastie warm. Roll on when I pass my driving test.
Why not ask your boss if you can start half an hour earlier and finish at 5.30pm. Its only every third week for 3 days so im sure he would be OK about it0 -

yayy finally I am having the wooden battons put above my dining room and kitchen windows, so i can hand curtains. I have been putting this off 5 years, for one reason or another, I have a quote of £25 to have it done, which i have jumped at as i cannot stand anther drafty winter from the kitchen extension and the very large dining room window. Just waiting for him to get back from the timber merchant, it should'nt take too long, will paint them tonight and hang curtains tomorrow ooh cant wait to be even more snuggly warm.0

Got a reet good bargain form a charity shop this afternoon. Originally i purchased the fleece poncho (sounds not as nice as it actually is) for my DD but she laughed at it when i showed her, so i tried it on and it fits. YAY! I was looking at the 'honchos' online last month but couldn't afford to buy one...this poncho has cost only £3. I'm very pleased.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
