We got nothing like that depth here, just a few inches. :(

I would have loved to have been able to walk in that depth of snow again.

    :)

    Don't do facebook so I can't see them. :(

My second link of mine works without logging in.

Its the public share Url on the bottom of the screen on facebook, thats lets you do that
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

    Sounds interesting. I'll investigate.

    ...

Hmm. It offers "share this album" or "post this album to your profile". The "share" option wants me to send it to someone. Is that what you meant or is it only something the person that originally posted them (DS4) can do?

    Do you like our icicles?

    stunning waterfall/icicles,

nope, not them, its right at the very bottom of the album pages, in the centre and says
Share this album with anyone by sending them this public link:

Oh yes, I see it now. It only comes up on my own pages. Looks as though I would have to upload the photos myself in order to do it. Aaargh

A tip I've just read for those who suffer from SAD (lack of sunshine) syndrome during winter months is to keep your windows scrupulously clean. Apparently dirty windows can filter out a lot more sunlight than we realise and in winter we need every little bit we can get. (Have just cleaned my indoors patio window and was quite surprised how much of a dusty smear was covering the surface). Rain splashes & dust outside in the air can make external windows very smudgy, so even if you can't clean all the windows regularly, clean those in the room where you spend the most time.

Also try and place mirrors where they will reflect the most sunlight coming into the room

how much thicker is that than a duvet?
I don't think it's as thick as a duvet, its a bit slimmer but tighter, if you get what I mean, you're meant to use it on top of your mattress. It's really easy to put on too, it's got elastic on all 4 corners which you just strap onto the mattress. I'm not sure if you're meant to then put a sheet on top, but I'm not, it's too comfy to cover up:o. I'd say the thickness is probably about the same as 1 or 2 layers of padded wadding used in quilts.

Long time lurker here.....:) Hello every one, want to say a big thankyou for all the tips for this winter, am almost ready and even got my kid sister on board...lol

Don't know if anyone has heard but on the news this morning (BBC Breakfast) was a report on some swans that migrate here for the winter from siberia, they are three weeks early:eek: And folk lore states that there will be a harsh winter ahead, so together with the vast amounts of berries about this year looks like its a comming.....lol

But thanks to you lovely ladies, I'm aready....lol (Well almost:o)

Very true Primrose re windows and mirrors. My house is full of mirrors - not so I can see my wee face, but to pull in more light. Makes a huge difference.
