Am sure you'll enjoy the kindle. I've installed the kindle app on my ipad and bought Paul O'Grady's first book. Have been meaning to read it for ages. Just one click at Amazon and I had the full copy of the book within seconds. Didn't cost anything either, just took the cash from my vouchers.
Brilliant!0 -
Got mine yesterday and am really impressed with the weight and feel. It was a 3G one but only ordered last week Wed. Think I might go for the eco-nique case. Has anyone tried it?0

I splashed out on the official cover with light as part of my Xmas present, (early present, lol), and although it was expensive I am glad I did. The cover makes it feel like you are reading a book without too much weight and I can read at night without disturbing hubby - the light is powered by the kindle.
I also think the matt finish on the kindle is much better than an lcd screen on other devices, there is no glare and the e-ink is great it is so close to reading a book.0 -

I agree I've just had a kindle as a birthday present and I've bought the leather cover with a light, expensive but really protects the kindle and as you say feels like a book.
Bought the one with the light for the same reason as you, so as not to disturb hubby.....
I love my Kindle....:j0 -

I'm reading Michael McIntyre's auto at the moment, very funny! I love my Kindle too, I don't think I'll ever buy a paperback ever again!Remember this: nothing worth doing is easy.0 -

That's brilliant, thanks for that! A good friend of mine has a kindle too and we love the same sort of books so would work well for us.0 -
Oh wow, being able to lend and borrow certain books makes ti even better.
I love my kindle much more than I thought i would. There are some good free reads as well, if you haven't already got it try 'blood sweat and a cup of tea' and 'more blood sweat and another cup of tea', free on Amazon.
I've only read stuff that I orderd free from Amazon so far, I haven't tried out anything else with the kindle yet but will get round to it at some point.
I do have a question though, my OH is so impressed that he wants one. As we share the same Amazon account will we both be able to access the books i buy, or do I have to set him up with his own account?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Can't help with your account question Soolin, but make sure you sign up with jungle search it will send you an email when a new free book is added to amazon. So far about 6 new books in the last fornight - mainly detective/crime/thriller types, I don't really have time to read much at the moment but have still managed to read 2 books and started on the 3rd lol.
