ok enough now. Getting boring with all the sniping and comments. We had a bargain for a while, it has probably finished, onto the next one.

I would just like to thank everyone for this great thread and helpfull chat.

I have been with it from the start and was thrilled with the coffee as it is something we buy and use so big thanks silvergranny.
I travelled to 5 different stores in my area on Tues(only 1 a little out the way) and as well as the coffee manged to get some enchilada sauce, chilli pots and stig socks only 13 items in total and always left some for others.

I have been with the site 1yr now and have made so many savings and my bank balance has never been better so thanks all posters.
Hope I can return the favour soon

    stop press!
Tesco in maldon, essex has removed the bar-code reader, no viable reason given. They have also placed a guard on the self service till to prevent any price check, may as well scrap that till, no labour saving there.
    Is this harrassment?
  • Hi Guys
Just thought i would pop this on here although not referring to the 1p items but seeing as it is about tesco, I thought you may be interested in this snippet of info.
I was talkingto one of the tesco staff who works on frozen foods and he was saying that tesco bins about £20,000 of food a week, and wont let the staff buy it at a discount. I think that is realy pathetic. There are starving people on the poverty line in this country and there is the mighty tesco binning the lot rather than giving it to charities like for the homeless shelters and soup kitchens etc or at least there own staff as a bit of a perk of the job even.
think it is disgusting tbh! LMS:eek::(
  • It is even more of a joke seeing as they are so keen on pushing their shoppers to recycle!!
  • Two fruitless shopping trips in search of 1p bargains - found and bought the chocolate but was charged 91p. Story of my life!
    It's 5 o'clock somewhere!
  • Went to my local tescos store last night to try and find some of the 1p bargains. Unfortunately didn't find any from the list, but bought some other things instead including a white bra that was marked down to £2.25. It didn't have a barcode/label on it so I asked the man at selfservice - he stuck some numbers in and it was only 1p! He looked surprised but didn't say anything and I left very happy indeed :j

I think the barcode ends in 957
