What a lovely post!0 -
Just noticed that all of the 1p items that where still available online this afternoon are now showing as "Sorry this product is permanently unavailable".
[STRIKE]- After Eight Mints
- Tesco Organic French Dressing
- Kallo Beef Stock Cubes
- Princes Beef Hotpot
Very likely due to the rising costs of all the price matching substitutions!!!0 -

Just thought i would pop this on here although not referring to the 1p items but seeing as it is about tesco, I thought you may be interested in this snippet of info.
I was talkingto one of the tesco staff who works on frozen foods and he was saying that tesco bins about £20,000 of food a week, and wont let the staff buy it at a discount. I think that is realy pathetic. There are starving people on the poverty line in this country and there is the mighty tesco binning the lot rather than giving it to charities like for the homeless shelters and soup kitchens etc or at least there own staff as a bit of a perk of the job even.
think it is disgusting tbh! LMS:eek::(
I think that's a health and safety issue, or more specifically a 'we don't want to get sued if anyone were to get a stomach upset' issue.0 -

99.999% of the time I've found it VERY helpful, sympathetic and non-judgemental. I umm'd and ahh'd for ages about posting this but some of the comments I've been reading on this thread (I think that's what it's called?) have upset me so much that I regret reading the blessed thing.
If I do pluck up the courage to post again it will be elsewhere.
Thanks a lot!!!
ohhh... grow a pair.
welcome to the real world.. people are horrible and the majority of them don't care about anyone outside of their circle.... that's the way it is in this country i'm afraid.Hating Hastings Direct!0 -

I think I've missed out on this, just wondering if some stores still have this deal, preferably the Leicester Hamilton storeNo reliance should be placed on the above.0 -

Hi.
Just wondering if anybody can help me out. I was out bargain hunting late on Tuesday night. I came across some of the "Daddy Cool" and "Stig" socks mentioned in this thread. I picked up f pairs. I also bought other bits and bobs and went to the self service checkout. The superviser and a securityguard were chatting away as i scanned the barcodes of the various items in no particular order. Then after i had scanned my final pair of socks, the scanner came up with an error message. The supervisor came and scanned her id card and said:
"er.....i am sorry but i can not sell you these socks. They have been put out in error and should be sold for £2 as you can see from the price tag". She then took the socks from "MY SHOPPING BAG" and re-scanned and remmoved these items from my list (this shown on the recipt).
I was absolutely fumming and "said thats not fair, you cant do that". Again she mentioned that they were ment to be for £2.
Is there anything i can do, it just doesnt seem fair to me, how could she do that. Now that i have seen the mail article in which Tesco sposkperson has said that it wasnt a glitch, can i do do anything.
Anyone care to help me out.:(0
