Just read in this mornings paper an article all about the tesco 1p finds. Thats that then. Can I be controversial and say maybe people should realise to make the best of these bargains you need to stay below the radar and not clear the shelf or ask at cs about it.0

Tesco glitch gives 1p deal
BARGAINS
Shoppers have picked up penny bargains at Tesco after a suspected computer glitch slashed dozens of items worth up to £13.
Customers chose clothes, food and electrical goods at the full price but were shocked when they swiped for 1p at the checkout.
Incidents across the UK included a £13 Cuponk children's game, £10 Disney hoodies, £8 umbrellas and £7 iPod cases. Moneysavingex pert.com said: "If they accept the money, the deal's done and there is no comeback."
Tesco is investigating.
Well - it's all over ...but it was good while it lasted:beer:!0 -
They can I'm afraid , I used to work for Tesco and best mate still does, she always comes away with loads of stuff that's at the staff door for 1p or there abouts.........
I worked for Tesco until recently and the store had four different managers, this was against Head Office policy and was never allowed by any of our managers. I guess some managers are slack and do not follow company policy!
At my store you were not allowed to put anything by, either offers or cheap bargains, you had to shop as a customer when you finished work.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
I'm just thinking .. Tesco sell thousands of products and we're not sure which are 1p until they scan and we haven't yet scanned 'everything' in the store, so there may just been a teeny little bargain still to be had ... Tesco are only aware of what seems to be public knowledge.
I'm still on the hunt for the bargains, lol ...0 -
Interesting bit in the Daily Mail online this morning - "A Tesco spokesman said: ‘This is no computer glitch. These are discontinued products which have gone beyond the "reduced to clear" period.
'Our view is it is better these items are sold rather than being thrown away."
