Oh for goodness sake I can't believe this thread has descended into bitterness because this "deal" made it into the weekly email. Talk about selfish...

I managed to take advantage of 3 different 1p items and was over the moon, none of the other items were in my store. I hope many others are able to take advantage of it as well, either through seeing it on here, HUKD or in the weekly email. It was never going to last forever so why all the worry about keeping it some sort of MSE secret is beyond me.

Hear Hear Claire! Well said! :T
  • Has anyone seen the cuponk toy in south london?

There's none in Thornton Heath that I can see
  • And can people stop complaining that it was in the newsletter etc

If you don't like it, you can post somewhere else

    It's getting tiresome now

  • Not sure if it's all the coffee that's expired. I picked up a few bags of Cafe Direct Fairtrade Cloud Forest Nicaragua coffee beans (sweet & smooth, with a fresh citrus twist) for 1p this morning. (Bar code 5018190 019226)

I did however notice that there was another shelf of Cafe Direct ground coffee with a shelf edge label priced at £3.48 with the word 'New' in bold letters, so wouldn't mind betting it's due to new stock coming in.

They have definately acted on this today. Found the coffee went to self service and it was £3.48 asked the sa to cancel it. She pointed to a basket of coffee that were to be reshelved and said everyone had been having them voided today. She said they had a huge box of stuff customers thought they could get for 1p as well . No cheap chocci and coffeee for me.
Hope Martin isn't going to include this tomorrow in his Daybreak slot as he will definately be making a fool of himself. Knew they often put clothes down to 1p before discontinuing as had the unfortunate experience of returning unwanted gift and been offered 1p for it without receipt. T
  • {whispers someone did suggest a discussion thread earlier on 1p bargains,did that appear?}

I think MSE Martin should report on the apparent aggressive reaction of some Tesco store staff to people shopping for the 1p items and the apparent 'banning' of shoppers etc - it might make a few interesting waves :)
  • If they have put the coffee back up to £3.18, I hope my local has stock again as they still have the 1p Sel on the shelf.

That would be a great DtD!

Incidentally, about a month ago someone mentioned some packs of garden ties (to secure plants to canes/trellis) were scanning at 1p

I found these in a store, they were hanging on click strips in the garden area and they had loads. I filled a basket, I think I had 80, and I merrily spent about 15 minutes on the self scan scanning each one through one by one!

Sorry, Dom the Moan, I mean Mon, I'm not trying to be nasty or anything but you do go on! We get that you're angry, peed off or whatever but all day every other post is from you going on how you hate this site and hardly use it etc. Why bother coming back on then?

If I may just be allowed to correct this? I haven't posted on MSE for some time until yesterday, so not sure how ''all day every day'' equates to two days? I haven't said I hate this site. The site is great. My beef is with something done by Martin off the board.

Its clearly a waste of time trying to get the admins or many MSE users to see what damage is done, so I will revert back to lurking and taking again on here. Not what I like to do but as things stand I don't feel I can post glitch type things here without them being destroyed by the wider masses soon afterwards.
