No its not rocket science but I dont understand your attitude. I see a bargain posted on the forum, minutes later I take advantage of it. I dont worry about the 4 or 5 million people who might receive the email, Ive got my bargain. When I see an offer I will post about it, I dont worry about the millions who may take advantage and never contribute. I was sulking today as I did not get the Amazon voucher as I read the original e-mail. Found the coffee bit it was £3.48, found umbrellas but were wrong ones. However got over charged on some reduced plums and got £3.60 DTD. So all is not lost.0

The thing is, lots more people across the world would get the bargains if the ebayers on HDUK didn't go overboard & put in large orders (sometimes 100+) & alert the stores........... :money:
Remember the Johnsons talc? A few people went in and ordered high quanities. It all bumbled along fine. Martin put it in his email cue thousands going in ordering hundreds. I know because Tesco staff told me. It didn't take long for stores to think it was suss and tell head office and they stopped bulk orders for everyone.
Better a handful benefit than nobody, isn't it?0 -

Good if you have no job to go to I guess. I'd love to be able to sit and read the boards and rush out within minutes every time!! How about those who happily used money off coupons for a long time to pay for a big chunk of their shopping? Martin announces it to the world and within days its all gone.
Yes I know, I am banging on about it. I make no excuses for doing so. I am sick of the shortsightedness of people who don't realise what is going on and the damage it is doing.0 -
anybody in edinburgh found the cuponk ? xx0

This is no different to the various threads we've seen over the years along the lines of "42" TV for £39 on xx site MISPRICE". Yes give it a go and order it, but you don't see Martin telling millions of people about that.
I can see both sides of the coin here though and i'm just grateful that MSE'ers take the time to share the bargains.0 -

Apologies for going OT...
You make a fair point, i posted an offer (Star Trek USB drive), it was then put in the newsletter stating the offer should stay until the end of the month......... next day the offer was gone.....
Back to the 1p items...............What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0 -
Call me niave but I've followed this thread, (and contributed) since it began and enjoyed the general excitement in finding and seeking the 1p bargains.
Surely everyone who takes the time to review these forums to the extent that they can take advantage of what is very often a short lived 'glitch' deserves (and probably needs) the benefits that come with such as saving.
I have managed to stock up on some xmas pressies that would have otherwise cost a lot more, that saving will, most probably go back into Tesco for my Christmas shopping!!!
There will always be the 'scammers' its a fact. But it should not stop the MSE community who are working together to share not just the savings but the feeling that we are somehow banding together to kick this recession up the backside!
Like I said, call me niave but I am quite shocked at the pace and tone that this thread has taken since last night, and feel that the concept and vision has been lost in the politics that are being discussed.
MSE have saved me a fortune, and I fail to see how them trying to share those benefits with others is a bad thing.0 -

Grrr I'm so anoyed with myself.
Went to Tesco in Walsall to do some shopping when I saw those flashy overprices cup and ball things. I went to check on the self service till to find it was 1p!
Now I should have paid and went but nooooooooo. I had to go back and get the last two and leave the self service till with the 1p showing. The Tesco lady cottoned on and said I couldnt buy the cups!
Moral of this story is....... Shop at Asda as Tesco are meanDaddy to Baby Jessie Pops, Caitlyn and Aimee and husband to Krystaltips...:T Xbox tag - Meks666... Vist my blog thefantasticmrmeks.wordpress.com0
