Wohooo!!!! My first 1p find at tesco's Westwood, Thanet this afternoon. Emptied the self 17 bags of after eight mints!
Wow 17 ! You must have been feeling brave - i got nervous just taking one thing through the self serve!Silence is golden...unless you have a toddler. In that case silence is very, very suspicious!0 -
Hi, I hope someone can help i'm just on my way to Tesco at Stockton or Ingleby Barwick. Just wondered if there was an easy way to check for these 1p products? I did see someone mention red and blue dots on some products, is this right? Or is it just a case of looking at every single product and checking it on the scanners in store?
Thanks in advance for any help.x0 -
This is the first I am seeing this thread so didn't know it was out there but I was in Tesco last week doing a little shopping (as you do) I found one of those receipts (spend £3 on cards and wrapping paper get 75extra points) on the floor and I thought i'll have some of that I picked up a few clearance bits mostly 50p and 70p wrapping papers and one of them came up for a penny; I was well chuffed. I thought the cashier was gonna give me grief - she protested but no one was listening so she just put it through. Plus got my extra points too Wey Hey!!!!!:j0

I hope all of you email a full complaint of your poor treatment by staff, no-one deserves to be humiliated while simply shopping. Suggest they either retrain staff in customer service or employ stff with manners! I hope you all get grovelling apologies.
Also, hello to fellow mse's who were at thurrock, i know you were there by the amount of socks, gold and black sequin bags and other bits left by the self scanner !A happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j0 -

They have definately acted on this today. Found the coffee went to self service and it was £3.48 asked the sa to cancel it. She pointed to a basket of coffee that were to be reshelved and said everyone had been having them voided today. She said they had a huge box of stuff customers thought they could get for 1p as well . No cheap chocci and coffeee for me.
Hope Martin isn't going to include this tomorrow in his Daybreak slot as he will definately be making a fool of himself. Knew they often put clothes down to 1p before discontinuing as had the unfortunate experience of returning unwanted gift and been offered 1p for it without receipt. T0 -
