1p finds at Tesco thread

Interesting thread. I was overcharged on two different occasions last week because offers advertised on the SEL were not programmed into the tills. I thought Tesco were perhaps deliberately cheating their customers, but it seems they are just genuinely inept.0

Would that website have been able to start if that person hadn't used this website so much to invited people to join her new forum?
Most people don't feel uncomfortable with this going in the email IMO, more a few don't like it that the bargain they spotted first on the forum is going to a wider audience. Have you never taken advantage of an offer that you first spotted due to the email? Or do you live on grabbit? Or PTS!?
You are missing the point. I've got nothing against MSE as a board where we post and share. My gripe is the mass feeding of the info for glitches that only have limited supply and are shared on a board amongst those who take time to give and take. The coupon policy couldn't survive this and anyone who thinks that Tesco are happy to sell £3.48 coffee for 1p despite not advertising it and despite it remaining at £3.48 on most SEL's is just wrong!0 -
Wohooo!!!! My first 1p find at tesco's Westwood, Thanet this afternoon. Emptied the self 17 bags of after eight mints!0

Spent the afternoon in Tescos hunting down the 1p bargains! Had a trolley full of socks, umbrellas and coffee. We took it to the self service and only one of the items was 1p - one of the umbrellas! We picked up some Stig pyjamas as we thought they may have been 1p too, but they were £3 (reduced from £12), so we ended up buying them too - spent £3.01 on an umbrella and some pyjamas (that we didn't really need!) We did feel like criminals though, reading all of the barcodes on the items before putting them back on the shelves!!! :j0

Tesco's in Purley have cottoned on and are not letting you buy anything that comes up at 0.01 and the staff have been told. Best thing to do is go to the self service checkouts (I should have thought of that before I had my items taken from me).0

This isn't foolproof though as there will still be one dragon manning all the self service checkouts. If you've ever seen their screen, they can see all the items being scanned at each SS till. If they've been instructed not to allow 1p bargains then i'm pretty sure that member of staff isn't gonna let you buy it..0 -
