Let's just remember that Martin wouldn't be the rich man he is without US posting about the offers. Those that want to put Martin on a pedestal should remember this. Without members posting the offers and glitches he wouldn't have a job.

Let's not put the cart before the horse.

Ok so yes we have had a period before Martin decided to announce it to the masses, luckily.

If we wanted to tell everyone we'd put posters up everywhere!

Just to add we post here to share with those relatively small number of like minded keen glitch hunters, as we realise if EVERY Tesco shopper was after them the chances of us, as less than 0.1% of Tesco shoppers, finding them, would be negligible.

PTS manages to run without the mods appearing on TV and sending emails to millions... MSE is becoming a victim of its own success with things like this.
  • I haven't had time to wade through all todays posts, so don't know if someone else has already found this out.

Kilimanjaro coffee yesterday 1p, today £3.48.

And all price scanners still switched off still.

I had managed to get a few packets already this week, but if they were reduced to clear at 1p, why did they increase the price to £3.48 and not just clear them off the shelf????
Now if they had increased it to £999.99 it might have been funny ;)

They can't be looking too hard then as their meal deal glitch is still going after three months

My claim to fame that glitch, only decent one I've ever posted. We all know Tescos reads this thread, if they stop the glitch or deal then we know it's a mistake, if they don't they're happy for us to keep buying, same with Boots. I have a cupboard full of Ariel thanks to Grabbit but I'm sure Sainsburys must know. As with any Grabbit, get it while it lasts.

For those of you being negative about this going in Martins email from Martins website:

Did you know 1p bargains existed before you found this thread? How? Did you find one yourself out of the blue and so you price scanned every item in your local tesco just in case there were more 1p bargains?

Or did someone tell you what to look for or where to look?

This same arguement has been going on for years on MSE - you want bargains for you, but you don't want everyone knowing about them. Fine. Don't read MSE - why should other people let you know about deals?

Incidentally, Tesco have read MSE for years, you'd be crazy to think otherwise. Do you think they care if 1 person buys 20 x 1p items or 20 people buy one each? I think they'd probably prefer the 20 people going in as it means they'll all pick up a few extra bits as they hunt for their 1p bargains - the publicity on the email is good for business.

And for you, is life going to collapse if you don't get 10 bags of coffee at 1p? Would you have bought a new umbrella if it hadn't been 1p? Thought not.

how can anyone bash this site such treachery. and just to point out that martins email has gone out detailing these 1p items alerting tesco, this thread is about a week old so most 1p things have now all gone anyway so whats the problem, added to this tesco knew before martins email as i got caught last night looking for 1p items and made to feel like a criminal also had my 1p written list took of me so they could copy it so tesco jknew before martins email so if anyone wants to blame tescos knowledge of this blame me:D as i got caught malpracticing(theft apparently:rotfl:) at 7pm last night so by 8pm most stores should have had a copy of the list sent out so they could go around and remove what little is left.
My poor 15 yr old daughter broke her wrist i 5:eek: places tonight poor little mite was screaming in agony, all casted temp now and fingers crossed no surgery needed to fix.
    get well soon honey .
  • My DD (who lives near Birmingham) scanned a top she had picked up on the sale rail but had not been marked down on the price checker earlier this moning and three assistants appeared from no-where on hearing the scanner beep! they told her that people "like her" had been scanning items in order to "steal them for 1p each". They made my daughter feel like a criminal, she was genuinely trying to find the price of a top she liked and had no idea that any items had been scanning at 1p - I only wish I had been with her at the time but she lives over 200 miles away from me whilst at uni.
Why do some Tesco staff have to be so nasty (I know there are exceptions so please dont rain on my rant) but the vast majority seem to enjoy trying to humiliate customers, taking any "bargain hunting" on our behalf as a direct attack upon themselves personally!.
I have been lucky enough to get a few of the 1p items of kids clothing this week, which are going out to an orphanage in Luxor just in time for a christmas treat for the children who live there, but I spend between £50 and £100 per week in Tesco, not including fuel.
Today was the last straw, my daughter was humiliated by assistant bullying and left the store in tears.
I will be doing all my shopping at Asda from now on - I know this will not directly affect Tesco's huge profit margin, but it makes me feel a whole lot better!!!

Have you or your daughter complained out this?

That is a shocking way to be treated!

A member of staff was quite rude to me once earlier this year,
I used the How did we do feedback at the top of the receipt to complain.

That list was your property. Taking it off you was theft! Their double standards here are breathtaking! They had no right to take that off you.

I can't believe some people are being treated like criminals by tesco. If they knock items down to 1p then what do they expect if people question why they aren't allowed to buy them. If it's because of 'product recalls' then they should do it the correct way and manually go round the store and take all affected items off the shop floor completely. Disgusting!

Oh well guys! It was never going to be a never ending bargain now was it! What bargain is? It was good while it lasted and im sure we all got at least something for 1p and the thrill of the chase was great!!! The only thing that gets me is the people who read and posted on this thread over the last few days have worked hard, well kind of, in searching for and posting and reading on this thread and everyone else who will now be looking for the bargains have just had them handed to them!!! Thats just my opinion!
It was never going to last forever guys! Im very happy with what I managed to get!!!
