Malpractice - how, because a friend has told you about lots of things you can buy in Tescos for 1p?!?! We are paying customers. Could we accuse them of malpractice if we were overcharged (which im sure happened to me lots before I learnt about DTD etc!!?!!
I've just checked the list of abbreviations someone so kindly linked for me but can't find DTD. Can you enlighten me? Thanks."For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."0 -

I thought Tesco was the same as my local Asda, at around 9-10pm everynight they knock the bread down to 1p-5p and all the sliced cooked ham and chicken etc to 5p-10p. The woman in front of me on Monday night had a full trolly and it cost her £2.75Well I Love Tv And I Love T. Rex, I Can See Through Your Skirt I've Got X-Ray Spex0

What's the deal?[/title]
[title=http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/images/dp/wtd_underline.gif]Is this a pricing error?[/title]
To be honest, we're not sure if this is a pricing error or a sale and we've deliberately not asked for official confirmation, in case Tesco decides to re-price the items. So go quick if you want to get these.
However, the law on this is simple. If your items scan at 1p at the checkout, Tesco staff can reject the sale and tell you it can't be bought. However, if it accepts your money, the deal's done and the product is yours at that price – there is no comeback (unlike when this happens online).
Buying a few 1p bits as part of a normal shop will help. Yet march up to the counter with 10 umbrellas, 10 shampoos, and the cashier may not sell them to you for 20p.
BIG THANKS TO ALL FORUMITES WHO'VE BEEN REPORTING 1p FINDS
The reason these items show as 1p is because they are discontinued and the computer drops the price to 1p. When this happens the items are meant to be withdrawn from sale. They do get over looked and if they get to the tills an alert sales cashier should inform you they are not for sale.
You may get lucky and your purchase will go through (depends who serves you) but don't be at all surprised if they refuse to sell you the products.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
In the store where a relative works, supervisors are really quick to get these off the shelves asap, as they are discontinued ranges. The stores where people are getting these bargains are an indicator to the big boys that staff are not doing what they're paid to do.
We're doing Tesco management a favour here.
Sorry, hadn't seen previous post.0 -

ThanksBanana LoversBuy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning0 -
