For such persons do not serve...but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

    It's been a while Holly :D

That scripture, put in context, refers to those that cause opposition to the teachings of Jesus, and was aimed at the Pharisees that taught the Old Testement law over the grace shown to the church by Jesus. Who here has been helpful, and who divisive?

Much as i'd love to continue this theological debate, I feel it's not the forum for such conversation & the OP is probably tearing their hair out waiting for a sensible reply :rotfl:

But was it his wife who was penning such great prose on mattresses over the years or indeed his own fair hand...

But it's actually about people who pretend to be altruistic and devoted to others, whilst artfully gathering wordly goods.

That is very deceitful indeed. I'm quite taken aback that people are still sticking up for him??

I looked through previous posts under Tim Deegans wifes username,(Cassandra1983) and there are lots of posts sticking the boot into bedkingdom.co.uk

Guess what, bedkingdom are one of only a few suppliers of the La Romantica mattresses!!! Obviously Tims companies main competitors!!!

Not quite. The altruism was correct and the Pharisees were great at that, but when it came to actually helping they were less keen. The story of the Good Samaritan was also aimed at them, as they 'passed by' those in need because they were 'doing Gods work'. Nothing to do with gathering wordly goods, and not a great analogy to compare me to!
