So much for my best intentions, it didn't last as long as i'd hoped.
I've kinda gone full circle (usual trait) and ended up worse than i was at the beginning - i've managed to add another £350 onto the barclaycard, having recently transferred the balance to a )0 % interest card (what a plank!) spent £350 out of savings (on mostly xmas pressies) - The rear demister has broken on my car (perfect timing in light of the weather) i started ebaying this week again and sold items worth heaps more than 99p for 99p  (absolulte sickener) and i've even fallen off the diet wagon - how much worse can it get!!
Feeling completely out of control and really blue - worse thing is i've only got myself to blame!!

Oh trixiepix, big hugs - I know exactly where you're coming from, it's a b1t ch at times isn't it
I've been doing similar things, was very enthusiastic at the start, then let things run away with me.....
The great thing you've done is come back on here and 'fessed up as it were. Every day can be a new start, so keep smiling and take baby steps each day.
Good luck

Hey Kittikins,
Thanks for being there!!!
Still haven't managed to get back on track, went a bit money bonkers before christmas, getting those 'last bits' and ended up spending much more than i expected to - on my credit card.
Have now come back down to earth with a bump, DH (who works away) is home for christmas and has made me realise that this has to be the year we go our seperate ways, so i now absolutely need to shed my debt so i can try to work out going it alone with 2 kids ( i'd tell him to go now but i just couldn't manage to pay my debt without him)
So now i'm kinda trapped and in debt - not a place a wanna be:(.

Hi trixepix - only just found your diary!! Sorry about you & DH - must be a really difficult situation to be in!!
I think you need to stop beating yourself up about what's happened with your spending - you can't change it, you can only work on improving things. Have you sat down and done your SOA again? Sometimes it's best to bite the bullet - at least then you know where you are & can develop a plan.:money:
If it's any consolation, our debt has increased significantly the last few months - some unavoidable, some totally avoidable, but I'm determined to get it sorted this year!! I think checking in on here regularly is essential!!;)
Keep posting & you'll get it sorted, one way or the other20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Hey Brummiebabe,
Thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement.
I've been getting my head around things over the last few days and i'm feeling really upbeat and positive at the mo!
I'm gonna sit down and do my SOA again over the next few days (think it's gonna be more realistic to do once the children are back at school!!) and start all over.
Thx again to everyone who takes a minute to check in on me, it really is so reassuring and encouraging, this has to be the year to shake off the dreaded debt demons

I've gathered the info relating to my current debt.
Barclaycard - £491
Egg card - £652
Amazon/bank of america card - £966
Next catalogue - £50
Additions catalogue - £140
Grattan catalogue - £25
Jd Williams - £50
Loan - £277 (payments £77 per month)
The barclaycard i'm paying interest on, the egg card i thought was interest free for balance transfers but have noticed there's 'merchandise interest' being charged, last month was £11 ish (what's that all about), Amazon is currently interest free as transfered barclaycard balance before christmas but then ran it back up to £490 over christmas ( duh!!!!! - i really do despair of my stupidity at times)
I'm gonna start ebaying again now that christmas is over, it's only really kids clothes and toys and my no longer wanted clothes that i have to sell and it can be so demoralising when things sell for only 99p but i suppose every little helps.
I'm currently paying £50 (direct debit) off of egg, a minimum monthly payment direct debit of £25 for amazon and whatever i can afford on barclaycard - i should have £150 left every month from wages that could go on debt repayment but i'm usually £150 overdrawn every month ( spending in anticipation on being paid ), this month if i keep on track should only be £50 overdrawn, so should have extra £100 left to pay off debt, i'm presuming i should pay any extra money off of the barclaycard, but then if i'm being charged interest on the egg card perhaps i should be paying it off of that???? - i've not council tax to pay for the next two months so thats gonna be £250 i can pay off of something - my heads spinning as to what i should be paying first

Oh and i almost forgot - £300 owed to mother in law for when the clutch went on the car before christmas - but that is a shared debt rather my secret debt!
I was quite cathartic going through exactly how much i owe, i'd rather it be less but at least i'm not massively overwhelmed with the prospect of sorting it out and my panic attacks haven't kicked in, so that's one good thing at least!!!:D

Ok, so had great plans for today.......
Not at work, kids at school, no plans so had decided i had to get xmas decs packed away (usually have them done way before now, can't really understand why i've not yet done it - hay ho) do big clean in light of having moved the decorations, do meal planners for next week, key down shopping online (tactical move in not putting myself in the supermarket - lol), put something slow cookerish on for dinner and be mainly the perfect housewife..............
Didn't quite go to plan, still doing xmas decs now as had migraine earlier (which i rarely get but ofcourse had to be today when i had lots planned), no shopping ordered, no meal plans done, dinner was cooked so long in the oven it was rather Dryyyyyyyyyyy, oh well at least it was a no spend day (yippee) plus i returned a couple of items i'd been meaning to do since b4 xmas and now have £13 refunded to my barclaycard and £13 into my current account which had to finance the replacement item i'd bought.
My freezer is so full of bits and bobs i'm seriously considering not really bothering with shopping this week except for weekly staples and just force myself to 'create' with what we've got left (must use up the 15 eggs i still have from christmas too - why did i think i was gonna use 15 eggs when i had no cakes to bake!!!!!)
Oh and still didn't get around to ebay listing, gonna have to be realistic and work on listing one or two items a day, just too unrealistic to think i'm gonna be able to list a huge pile of stuff in one evening, seriously considering selling my little ones beautiful pine mamas and papas huge cot, it's such a emotive piece of furniture but its been in the attic since my youngest moved into her bed and what with moving in a few months it seems the right thing to do to generate a bit of money and help clear the attic, my sensible brain says 'sell it', my heart says ' its my babies cot' - what a plank eh! - i think i'll check the going rate on ebay.

Better day kinda today, had appts this morning which i hoped would only last until 11ish but then didn't get back until school pick up time, constructive but still didn't get chance to do the things at home i'd hoped to, at least it's the weekend now!!
Money made today - £0
Money spent - £11 out of food shopping budget.
Got a stinking cold arrive today, so feeling a tad blue and just wanna go to bed, so ebaying if off again tonight but i hear it's free listing weekend, so i don't feel so bad about starting tomorrow instead of today.
I'm thinking that when i get paid i'm going to use the surplus £100 i'll have on paying off the smaller catalogue stuff, so at least then i'll only have the substantial amounts to pay off and then close the catalogue accounts so that i can't get tempted again.
Just off now to do the family meal lists and do shopping online hopefully to be delivered tomorrow, my food shopping is usually around £85 to £90 per week but i'm gonna try for £70 this week - i've got washing powder, coffee and shampoo/conditioner to buy this week plus the bloody nit potion so that's gonna take quite a chunk to begin with.
Would appreciate any nit solutions anyone may have (other than the potions as i thought i'd won the battle but the little blighters are winning the war!!)
