Hey Isy,
Spending diary is still going well (day 3!! lol), it has definately made more aware of what i am actually spending and it is making me question if i really need things, but it is very early days!!
I'm going to be revving up my breadmaker again this evening, ready for tomorrow morning - as i'm typing DD1 is currently scoffing the last of this mornings bread!!!
Well done for already paying of 10% of your debts.

Well another day nearly over, the children are now in bed, my weight watchers sweet and sour chicken ( i know it's far too expensive and i should know better, which i do now but i bought it a couple of weeks ago, so just using it up!!!) is in the microwave ( not exactly condon bleu but hey i'm too knackered now to be bothered with anything else)
My sleeping £11.03 is still tucked up safely (had the bin washing chap turn up today and though i'm gonna have to dip in but then remembered i paid him upfront last time in case i wasn't in - yay)
Tomorrow i do have to break into the sleeping babies as it's haircut day, having colour too so it's gonna be £40 (my lovely top salon hair dresser kindly offered to do my hair at her home about a year ago instead of in the salon, so i get half price haircut + colour in comparison to the salon prices), £35 i already have from a cake order but have to add £5 to it, oh well - will still have £6.03!
Anyway, i'm off to watch tv and eat my delicious dinner (hah - well it suits my diet!!)

So it's friday - i still have my £11.03 from the beginning of the week - i can't believe it!!!!
I decided i'm going to splash out on a slow cooker (checked out argos and they have a 6.5l cookworks one for £20 (last one i had was too small to make for meals and some for freezer) - fab reviews, so i'm intending to part with £10 of my £11.03 and take £10 from my baking profit jar.
Had a chat with my mum yesterday about how i need to be saving due to be moving in April and needing a new car and she gave me a mini lecture of how i fritter money and lavish the children far too much etc etc, i was really hurt and my tummy is still turning over now when i think about it, i felt like a little girl being told off - i suppose the truth hurts!!
Anyway, ordered the food shopping online to be delivered after work tonight, had a £5 discount code as i hadn't shopped online for a while and delivery had been reduced to £3 if you order after 1pm, plus opted for asda rather than tesco considering there current price promise thing.
Stuck to my shopping list (following vague meal planner - note to self, ensure detailed meal planner is ready b4 next shop!!) didn't spend anywhere near as much as normal.
Fresh bread again this morning (buff my halo) much to the girls delight ( so much simpler than struggling with what they are or not gonna eat in the mornings )
Hope everyone has a fun filled frugal day xxx

Sooooooooooooo, considering it's the weekend i've stayed pretty much on track.
Bobbed out yesterday to pick up new slow cooker (money assigned from baking profits on friday), i've not yet tried it but only a matter of time.
DD's had pocket money/birthday money that they were allowed to spend some of, so had £10 each, i also had to buy a birthday pressie for DD2's friends party next week and flowers as a thank you for a friend - so i went armed with the kids £20 and £20 to get the other bits.
DD1 knew exactly what she wanted which was £10, DD2 waffled about looking at toys for £40 then wanted useless bits for £8-9 which would have hit the toy box straight away and not looked at again, eventually decided a £15 lego set made most sense, but it meant £5 out of my budget plus i didn't insist on her just having £10 - i suppose i should have just let her buy the pointless rubbish for £8 (oh i don't know...), ended up spending another £2 on containers for packed lunches (which i didn't really need but got a bit carried away and could kick myself today, to me i sound barmy beating myself up about £2 as last week i would have spent £20 on the same kind of trip without being the slightest bit bothered), fortunately the present only cost £8 rather than the £10 i's budgeted.
I ended up with £5 to buy the flowers and ended up buying a beautiful basketed pot plant for £4 and splashed out £1 on meatballs which were on offer for DH dinner, i can't remember ever going into a supermarket with cash to spend and only spending the amount i had - things must be sinking in!!.
Managed to start ebaying but with constant distractions last night only managed to list 2 things, bit dissappointing but at least it's a start - hopefully they'll sell!!
NSD today as hubbie is in work so i'm carless and kids are quite happily entertaining themselves, so just gonna stay home and catch up with stuff, may get around the the elusive meal planner and debt graph/spreadsheet.

You pay for your bin washing? Really? Nooooooo. Do you own a hosepipe or a bucket, a broom and several small sticky children? My two think its positively ace to play with soapy water and sluice out the bin before pretending to be turtles nd hide inside it. Have also been known to persuade them to wash and vac cars too in return for an extra long trip to the park. If everything is in bags before it goes in the bin then its really not that bad in the first place.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

When I read it, I thought "you WASH you bin"?!? I never do.......and we have fortnightly connections too. Mind you, I never wash my car either, so maybe I'm not quite up there with Kim & Aggie, lol.
Well done on your shopping trips this weekend, my mind was buzzing with all sorts and I was tired on Friday so ended up with stuff that I didn't actually need but wanted or thought I wanted. Grrr. At least some of it is fruit & veg so I can put a Taste Radar claim in and eventually be reimbursed I hope!!
Have a great Monday and keep that purse locked tight. Maybe spend some time on here doing competitions, looking for ways to get some money flowing in (look for surveys/daily clicks/matched betting (I've steered clear of that myself as it looks complicated but I've seen lots of people make money from it) etc etc.0 -
...............i do have my wheelie bin and food bin cleaned!!!!!!
I do have buckets, mops, brushes, soapy sudsies and definately 2 small sticky children but i also have a DH who often 'forgets' to seperate the food waste from the general waste resulting one time last summer in getting home from a night out and realising i had hundreds of maggots escaping from my bin - i appreciate this was solely because of lazy DH putting the old cat food in there rather than it's cleanliness but since then i have been more than happy to pay £4 a month to have both bins cleaned - what a vice to have - rock and roll!!!! (the bin cleaner is quite easy on the eye too , so that helps - lol:rotfl:)
I'm thinking this week financially is going to be more of a struggle, today sleeping in my purse is £7.09, i've got to part with £2 shortly to pay work lottery syndicate, tonight kids have gym class which is £8 (money already put aside for that from weekly budget) usually take it in turns to buy coffee for me and friend £1.20 (can't remember whose turn it is), meeting other friend for coffee tomorrow having put her off from going out for dinner (coffee was the cheaper option) approx £4 (again if it's my turn). Dentist on wednesday for check up, (not sure where that money is coming from yet, i think check up must be somewhere around £20??)
Thursday, shopping trip to discount village to try to sort out some xmas pressies, then friday intending to do some outstanding jobs at my mum's rather than her and i go out for lunch which has become a bit of a habit (not good for purse or weight loss)
I do feel quite stressed about the whole money thing this week, it is a stressy time of the month which isn't helping, cud do with generating a few extra pounds this week, hopefully my pityful 2 things i have on ebay may just sell (still haven't had chance to list the other squillion things i have!)
Hope you are all having a fun filled day and can forgive my reckless 'bin' spending :rotfl:

Hi Trixiepix, could you send your bin man round here too please as my OH can also be a bit useless with the bins!
Glad to see you're using your breadmaker - I bought an Argos Value breadmaker for £25 last week and I love it! The bread it makes is delicious and it's great as I can make a small 1.5lb loaf which is just the right size for OH and I.
Good luck with your budgeting - you can do it!0 -
Panic not i shall send 'superbinman' around straight away.:rotfl:
My DH know's the rules around the whole recylcling procedure but just can't be bothered to put all of the food in the kitchen caddy (it's obviously easier for him to walk further to the bin than to the caddy which is closer - i despair!!)
My breadmaker has been baking away everyday so far, i even made some by hand yesterday as i wanted a slightly bigger loaf as it was back to doing packed lunches today - i made a big loaf and 6 rolls - if anyone has the need to knock anyone unconscious today, one of my rolls with suffice (they were a tad crunchy, in saying that i had one with my soup today for lunch and can't see that i'll need to be eating again until Friday, so they're definately gonna save on the food shopping :rotfl:

Your so good using the breadmaker, I have one (along with every other gadget) that I never use. My DH has used it a few times but I'm just useless in the kitchen, maybe I need to get out the instructions and have a go! I do use my slow cooker though although mainly in the winter. That I love as I just chuck loads of stuff in it, normally a little meat and loads of veg to save a bit of money and to become healthy and it always comes out delicious. Mind you I do tend to use a brought sauce as don't know how to make a thick sauce mine always seem to come out like water. You sound like your good in the kitchen, I really must try lol!No more spending hard - Time for the scrimping!0
