I have been racking my brains all morning to try and figure out how I get cracking on the diet and enjoy life as well, maybe you can't maybe you have to rain it in abit......
So i could either be miserable and go for a begrudge curry and try to sick to diet and fall of the wagon because its not fair I can't have my curry and eat it, or I can allow myself a break and and realise that sometimes in life there is a blip and you get on with it.
So the plan, have my curry and a few drinks almost like a send off to the old ways and in the morning wake up afresh and really get stuck into the diet, might even get myself to the gym - lets not go too mad shall we
I am also going to meal plan for the week.....
Oh watch this space, i think the cogs are beginning to turn and the gears are beginning to shift:o
Shall be back later with a meal plan,
Thanks for letting me rant

I think with any diet you can only ever do it properly when you're in the right frame of mind.....thats why ive tried and failed loads of times lol
But I guess there comes a time when you get your 'lightbulb moment' where it suddenly hits you and I know in my case Im kind of tunnel vision at the mo and real determined to do it this time (instead of losing a bit then putting it back on then a whole heap more :rotfl:)
This time I want the weight loss! ....I want it more than I want the takeaway curry....or the sainsbury tiramisu and a pot of extra thick double cream while watching telly followed by a whole family bar of dairymilkI used to think eating it made me feel happy....but it made me feel crappy
I used to think I couldnt go out for a meal with friends without blowing it all .....so I either had to be a recluse or sod the diet off and pig out on terrible stuff, but I now know I dont have to do that cos Ive changed the way I thinkI might make different choices in the meal...I might not have the naan bread Id have rice instead and know that thats filling and free on EE but its saved some syns for that glass of wine
So dont be throwing the towel in straight away red;) I always used to say Oh il start tomorrow....tomorrow....tommorow LOL you can still have your curry night within plan.....just tweak your choices hunx

Thanks also for the Sainsbug basics info - we only have a Sainsbugs Local so I'm not sure how much basics stuff they stock but I'll have a look. I'm willing to try any cheapie range to save money, unlike hubby who likes his branded stuff!!

I actually enjoy the healthier stuff like nice fruit salads more than the pizza etc but we are brainwashed to think that the bad stuff makes us happier! My problem is mostly laziness, I made chicken curry the other night which was completely free and it wasn't very difficult, I just prefer to pick up the telephone and get someone else to do itBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

ok i shall share a secret with you,if you buy a couple of tins of branded beans etc, leave them at the front of the cupboard and then stash a couple of cheap tins at the back of the cupboard, feed him the cheap tins and when he looks in the cupboard he won't realise what he's eating and its money in your pocket, ker ching!! :money:0 -

Went out for a friends leaving do, went to Pizza Express and had pizza and dessert and drank Jack Daniels and coke all night and it was fab;)
Don't care about the syns value, it was a once in a blue moon treat and i enjoyed every minute:D There were 16 of us for the meal and they are all great company.
So today -
Breakfast Yoghurt and a banana and a coffee
Lunch Quorn burger(2.5) and a WM roll(HeB), ketchup (1) and a little cheese (1/2 HeA).
Have made my pasta to take to work later with the rest of my HeA cheese.

Hi all,
Hope everyone is well and keeping the fairies at bay!
Today is another EE day for me:
Breakfast: Weetabix (heb), soya milk (hea) and an apple.
Snack: Grapes.
Lunch: Minestrone Mugshot, Tomatoes (x4), 2 plums, strawberries and raspberries.
Dinner: Think it's spaghetti and meatballs tonight - well that's what it said on the fridge when i left for work this morning. Sauce will incorporate shed loads of veg as per usual
No syns so far and none 'planned' but i might have 2 rice cakes and humous for tea if i get hungry again after dinner.
Well done to the losers, *positive vibes* to those who need them for whatever reason and ((hugs)) for the poorlies amongst us.0 -

Dizzyk, Thank You, Thank you, Thank you
Until, I read your reply I was ready to blow the whole day away, I was going out on lunch to subway and having a full fat full on sub with all the trimmings and then drink what I like and eat all the curry I could, but you are sooo right.
And because of you I am now sat eating a chicken salad with light dressing and i am throughly enjoying it and when I go to the pub I shall be having either gin or vodka with a diet mixer or maybe even a diet coke, and I may have a dry chicken tikka - not sure on syns for that as its a dry dish so no sauce and if no sauce no need for naan bread or rice.....
So with everything and good choices I have managed to get my syns down to about 34 (giving a few extra here and there just to be on the safe side), which is flexi syn do able, I will be having a healthy day tomorrow, lots of free foods and I can have those syns almost made up tomorrow.....
Dizzyk, any chance you could become my unofficial guru
