Morning everyone. The best of luck to you today Dizzy.
I have an attempt at hashbrowns in the oven at the moment. I've just tried one and the taste is nice but they are too soggy... I should have squeezed the water out I think. I grated some celeriac and onion with the tatas to up the free food and it works. I will try again over the weekend as it will really help with my breakfasts.
Another EE today and I need to go out to the shops to stick the freezer up with meat for the month.
Today (EE)
B - hashbrowns (1) poached egg (F) beans (F)
L - Ham & Smoked salmon (F) salad (F) potato salad (F)
D - Chicken (F) veggies (F) mash potato (2) gravy (2)
Snx - 4 ryvita (B) cheese triangles (A) tomato & cuc (F) Mandarin (F) grapes (F) banana (F) youghurt (F)
I am going to try the szechuan beef from the world of flavours book tomorrow so I'll let you know if it is any good.

Hi, Please could someone tell me how many syns are in a 55g pack of mama thai noodles???
thanks,
Chrissy
I tried to put in both Mama and Thai as the brand name for the food but it isn't bringing anything up?
I did search for the Ko Lee chicken noodles in a pot that I adore (and are always in poundland at 3 pots for £1 so a cheap meal as they are really filling) and they are a mere 2.5 syns! Bonus! I thought they would be at least a million as they are very tasty.
I invented a lovely soup last night - Curried parsnip and lentil soup. Here's the recipe:
Soak about 150g split yellow peas overnight then cook for 30min as per pack instructions in some vegetable stock.
Chop two parsnips and two carrots into 2cm chunks, cut two onions in half, peel two cloves of garlic and leave whole. Put these into a roasting tray, spray with frylight and add some curry spices. I used whole cumin, coriander and mustard seeds, some ground tumeric, chilli flakes and garam masala but if you have curry powder that would work fine. Roast the veg for about 30min.
I then drained the lentils and put them back in the pan with the roast veg and about a litre of veg stock, blended it until it was really fine then pushed it through a sieve.
I had it with a couple of slices of garlic bread but you could have your HEB bread with it or something like that.
It made three big portions so OH and I had it for tea last night and i have the leftovers for lunch today.
Oh, and I lost 2lb at WI last night so I'm well happy with that!0 -

The best way of getting the water out of the grated veg is to squeeze it all in a clean teatowel.
Am going to try making a quiche with a hashbrown type base - hope it works!

Thanks so much
I've made the first step by having a healthy breakfast - mushrooms and an egg cooked in frylight, it was delicious!
I really don't want to be chubby anymore, and I really am, I can't kid myself any longer. I'm only 4,11 in height and I weigh over 11 stone, eekkkk! I used to wonder why I get tired easily until I tried picking up a 7lb dumb bell in a shop once and couldn't even lift it off the floor, I'm carrying 4 times that at least in excess weight!!!!!
My partner has helpfully agreed to leave all food shopping and planning up to me, so I can decide what to have for dinner every night, I think a mushroom risotto will be good for this evening, that can be made SW friendly right? They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Your very welcome!:) I started SW at 18.5 stone - but now weigh 12 stone so I'm heading in the right direction. DH lets me do the shopping too and that helps so much as does his support in helping me with the Plan.
Well done for having a good healthy breakfast. Your well and truly on your Slimming World journey!:T:T0 -

Wow, 6.5 stone, that's amazing
I want to get 2 stone off at least, maybe 3 as I should be around 8 stone for my height but I'm not sure I would look healthy that slim if that makes sense?
I found a gorgeous dress yesterday that I want to wear to my work Xmas do, they have one that would fit me as I am, but I know it would look so much better a size smaller, can I lose a dress size by December 2nd? is that realistic? They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson
