    Anyway... today I've eaten:
2 weetabix with skimmed milk (HEA+B); an apple, a massive portion of sw quiche, a slice of wholemeal bread (HEB), an orange, a pink grapefruit, quorn sausages with mash, peas and beans, and a milky way (6syns?). Does that look ok?
I'd like to lose 4 stone, which is a scary thought, so I'm aiming to try and lose a stone by christmas.
    Nice to meet you all!

    Welcome :)

For a Green day that looks great - the more superfree foods you can squeeze in the better - that's stuff that's free on both Red and Green days - so if you can up your intake of non carby veggies that'd help. On Green though, carby veggies like potatoes, peas and corn are free food - so you should be OK :T

I've lost 2 1/2 stone since May and still have a long way to go- there's a massive amount of support on here.

I have put on 0.5lbs - first gain in the 13 weeks I've been there, so only 3stone 3lbs lost now. No problem though, still working and one small bump in the road isn't enough to throw me off course.

    Lynz,

Lakeland used to do sets of 10 really small plastic food boxes with blue lids. They're about 2cm square - and perfect for salad dressings :) They stay water tight, too.

I bought at least two sets and have some spare - PM me your address and I'll stick a couple in the post if you like :)

I have the Lakeland ones and they are great for taking sauces/dips in. I saw a pack in Poundland the other day might not be such good quality as Lakelands?

Can anyone tell me what the sweet popcorn at Vue cinemas is? I ate a whole medium popcorn last Saturday and it's been bugging me ever since.

  • Oh i love this thread - Ive been sneakily watching from the sidelines for ages! I started SW 6 weeks ago and have lost every week while still having a life (choclate, wine takeaways and meals out) - in fcat the only week that I lost less than 1 1/2 lbs was the one that i didn't go out at all but thought it was ok to pick at the kids tea:naughty:

I have been doing EE which suits me great - but I also haven't had any bread or cheese at all since starting - mainly because I use my HEBs as 2 alpen lights which gets me through that midafternoon cuppa and bisucit craving beautifully...however I am thinking i might like to try a green day so i can have say - cracker and cheese but I am really scared that I will do something wrong and blow all my hard work- please can someone reassure me?

i made dyno rod soup this week and shared this forum and the recipe with my SW group and they all love it so thanks:T

Please, pretty please can whoever it was that posted the link for the food flasks (think it was from Amazon), post it again.

I've decided to buy my son & his gf a Bamix for Christmas, (don't laugh), a Covent Garden Soup cookbook and a couple of food flasks for them to take soup to work for lunch some days. DS loves soup and they both enjoy cooking, so I'm hoping it'll be a welcome gift.

So, the food flasks link would be gratefully received, thank you so much :D

I think one thing that got my "back up" at bit was she said in our welcome talk how she does not push body magic as not everyone can do exercise but the book was there if we wanted to read it. I am a real believer that getting out and doing something, even if it is walking round the block for 10 mins is better than nothing and I thought that attitude was not great.

You can't please everybody and when I once said something along the lines of " going for a good, brisk walk every day will do you the world of good" I got a mouthful from one member who said "oh well, if it doesn't work without that there's no point me coming 'cos I can't walk far at all".

Bear with your Consultant for a while longer, she probably means well but, trust me, it's not always an easy job (though it was always enjoyable and left me on a high every week).

Back from weigh in, I lost 2.5 pounds and got my sticker for losing one stone. So pleased, as feeling really rough with tonsillitis and on penicillin so it cheered me up no end :)
