i think my losing weight while only sticking to plan half the time has ended!
That's exactly how I feel.
Last week I didn't stick to the plan for a single day and lost 6.5lbs. Sure I did a fairly intense workout 5 evenings of the week but still, I was eating takeaways for 4 of those evenings.
This week I've been off plan for two evenings. One the Wednesday treat, and the other was a chicken kebab. I've been 100% for all other days and not used many syns (I never have, it's the one part of the plan that I fundamentally disagree with) and been lifting heavy weights as well as doing boxing and rowing most nights this week. I've worked bloody hard. I'm guaranteed to have a gain :mad:Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

I can't stay away from the chocolate  I've seriously fallen back into snacking and eating stuff for the sake of it!

I love working out - the sore feeling the next day is the best feeling in the world. Although last night I did boxercise for an hour followed by 2500m of rowing and woke up this morning with arms so sore it felt like I'd been jerking a Terminator. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
As for the chocolate - remember, it takes 21 days to develop a habit. Stop eating it and remove all of it from your house. A craving is in the mind, not in the body - you don't need chocolate and never will.Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Good afternoon folks!!!
Just to say a big thank you to whoever posted the recipe for tomato soup. I made it last night and it was absolutely lovely. I did add some dried basil but it didn't really need it. My husband and I (oh did I sound like the queen then?), I'm NOTHING like her at all!!!! Anyway, him and me had it for lunch today and it was gorgeous. I do mostly red days so I am just going to either syn the baked beans or use a HEB.
WI tonight and I just can't get on the scales. I know I've put on 1 lb and will be just over target so will have a really good week next week. Sometimes I wish I didn't have the choice of whether or not to weigh in.0 -

There are any number of things I'm sure you'd like to discuss, so start the ball rolling and see where it goes
Thanks for your reply. I was thinking of asking some questions but thought I'd wait to get a bit more 'established' as I wouldn't want to upset those that have been there for ages. Meantime we just chat amongst the group I'm sitting with and, as I said, some very nice people.
Unfortunately our group starts at 9.15 and lots of people find it fits in with school-runs, jobs where they can start late etc. So a 11 o'clock start wouldn't really suit but I can't commit a regular evening. I'll worry if/when it happens.trixietoes wrote: »
The cauliflower cheese from the latest magazine wasn't very nice in my opinion. The quark, egg & cheese mix for the sauce was yack. I think I prefer to syn the flour and have 'proper' sauce.
Thanks for that. I've been missing cauliflower cheese and I was thinking of just synning a bit of cornflour. IMO this month's recipes were a bit of a disappointment compared with last month's super mag (really enjoyed lamb dhansak). It's not that I've tried them yet but I look for 'free' recipes. I'm never short of ideas with syns:DSomeone I hadnt seen for 2 weeks said "youve lost weight havent you" was really pleased although not sure what it is as still have no scales but def looking a lot better in leggings and inspired by susan im wanting a pair of skinny jeans now i think I can get away with them now!

Well done! We don't have scales at home either (OH threw the old ones out ages ago because he didn't like what they were saying!:rotfl:). I've no plans to buy any more as I think I'd be weighing obsessively every day. So, like you, I'm relying on my clothes to tell me until WI. I'm determined not to buy any more until I'm a couple of sizes smaller. But I'm enjoying the lovely loose feeling (lost 10lbs so far) around my waist and being able to wear things that had been pushed to the back of the wardrobe because they showed up my weight.
P.S. Can anyone tell me whether it's OK to literally fry a breakfast in frylight? Can you fry mushrooms and tomatoes, for example, or should everything be grilled? Would it be OK (subject to all visible fat removed) to fry bacon as a basis of a pasta sauce? And finally, is all spray oil the same? I'm using Crisp'n'Dry (special offer) but would like to try the olive oil one instead?0 -

i think its fine to fry as long as the visible fat is removed, all the fry light ones are free, but i can't find crisp and dry on the syns online.0
