    Afternoon All,

WI tonight - nervous - had a complete breakdown last night after a really good week - i scoffed a whopping 70 syns! In one sitting! Just hope it won't affect WI too much - why have i sabotaged myself???

On a plus point i made smargies this weekend and they went down lovely with everyone!

    Smargies
    Smash
    Curry Powder
    Onions (sliced)

I sliced the onions, made up some smash with curry powder added, mixed all together & 'fried' in frylight

Actually had a disaster with the 'frying' part (smoke alarm decided to go off!) so ended up putting them under the grill :o

I have found ben & jerrys small tubs of cookie dough ice-cream are 15.3syns - which i save all my syns for on saturday whilst watching telly! Just a shame i spoilt sunday!

Well done to all loosers & good luck for those still to WI

P.S. Dizzy - brilliant news about your ears :T - can we call you dipsy from now on lol (teletubbies with the antenae!):rotfl:

:rotfl:LOL thats much nicer than looking like a Dalek x x

Sorry to hear you had a fairy attack yesterday hun  dont you just hate the little bleeders  heres hoping you've managed to evict them now.......and fingers crossed for WI x x

Can anyone help please?. I can only get 4% fat cottage cheese here in Germany. A search on syns online doesn't show anything other than fat free or lo fat:(. Does 4% count as low fat?
(mind you, I can get loads of fat free Quark dishes:T)
I think it has to be less than 1%.....but I may be wrong :o

could you put it through the syn calculator??
  • My friend gave it up for a year, (for a bet) and said when she went back on it she hated the taste  Bit extreme measures though :rotfl:I have tried for a month just before xmas, helps you to avoid those quality street tins in work :T Only trouble is on Xmas day I scoffed and I have to say one month isn't long enough to go off chocolate :rotfl:Think I might do that again this year.

My 3 screme eggs are still intact  Its a miracle! :p Will take them in for the friends (and moi) during tomorrow mornings "help my brain is masked and I need some coffee"- break :D

Didn't do too badly yesterday - I think. it was a green day, so syns were a mashed banana (? can't be more than 2) and gravy, roasties and some meat (3+3+6) so just about within the day's limit I think. Plus most of my means have been 1/2 or more superfree foods.

I'm having a bake day and am making butternut squash and red pepper soup. Despite the fact that I roasted the ingredients first, it has turned out a bit tasteless! and watery - my fault for using too much stock, so i've just added a tin of beans and whizzed it up to try to thicken it. The resut is it tastes like baked bean soup :rotfl:

Mmmmmm, mashed banana and gravy. Not tried that so far. :rotfl:
  • Mmmmmm, mashed banana and gravy. Not tried that so far. :rotfl:

:o:o:o Oh, hum, yes, that post was a bit full of typos! The mashed banana was to go in with some rice milk to get my HEa down me as a lovely banana milkshake, rather than with the gravy :p

Chocolate attack diverted, thanks Dizzy! Had 2 bowls of lentil soup (thanks to the peson who posted that recipe, when I made it it looked pretty unappetising but you're right it was lovely :T Shame I have only got 1 portion of squash and pepper and one of the lentil soup left to show for all my hard working efforts today! :o

I now seem to have a surplus of carrots, celery and baby baking potatoes. Now a but flummoxed for ideas as to what to do with them. What's more, our fridge resembles a greengrocers due to all the fruit and veg that my housemate (also doing slimming world) and I have bought. i'm hoping that means that between all the fruit and veg, and mashed banana with gravy syns, it all adds up to a balanced diet :p

I had my first G&T in months last night - well deserved IMHO ;) However, for just the one (and no rude comments about re-filling the glass and how big the one was please :p ) I had a flipping mini-hangover in the morning! huh, whats that all about?!

  • Afternoon all,

Just wanted to thank you for the cous cous fritter recipe - made a batch today and had two for lunch with grilled toms, mushrooms and baked beans. They were amazing! Looked just like the picture too - although mine may have been a bit more rustic! :rotfl:

I am still so full - usually by now I would be feeling peckish but can't believe that such a lovely lunch was free!

My SW recipe book arrived (with the free Jamie Oliver one) so thank you very much for the link to that offer. I'm looking forward to trying lots of new recipes - there are some lovely ideas for when we cook for friends - so good they won't realise they are eating SW food!
Hope you all have a great week,
    GG

Which SW receipe book was that and have you got a link to the offer please?? Thanks:beer:

Don't give yourself a hard time over last night. We've all broken in moments of weakness - I'm sure the other days will counteract last night. Let us know how you get on.

Thanks for letting us know about the Ben & Jerry's small tub of cookie dough ice-cream - would be lovely in front of the TV this weekend - haven't seen the small tubs - where did you get yours?? Thanks:beer:

    Hi Aliscrapper,

The book was the SW World of Flavours which cost £5.99 and by putting in a code you could choose a free gift (I got Jamies America) I think it was free p+p too! It was ages back on this thread - about a month I think, will have a look & see if I can find it.

The SW World of Flavours book is worth buying for £5.99 though - its great & much more expensive on Amazon.

    The site is http://www.booksdirectbargains.co.uk

    Hello gang

I've been lurking on this thread for ages so I feel like I know you all already (stalker mode OFF).

I've been following SW at home since mid May and in that time I've lost 2st 1lb. It was more than that but I hit a plateau and then totally fell off the wagon. For weeks. Ahem. I am now back where I was two months ago  (mind you, one of those months was spent not losing anything, so it's not as bad as it seems).

However, I was at a family wedding this weekend and got lots of "how well you're looking" type comments - they didn't know I'd slipped off plan :T so I have rediscovered my mojo.

I've decided to start posting here to try to keep me accountable - do shout at me if you see anything non SW-friendly or if I'm not counting something correctly.

I've done some EE, but I like Green days better - I love carbs and I like the two HEBs I can have. Red days leave me much hungrier generally.

    Monday - Green Day

    28g Bran flakes part HEB1
    ML
Milk in tea throughout day HEA

    Snacks - apple, banana, orange

L/o pasta from dinner last night 3 syns for oil used in H/M sauce
    Salad 2 syns for dressing

After work snackette - 1 Ryvita other part HEB1 + 1 laughing cow light triangle 1.5 syns?

    Gammon steak HEB2
SW wedges/chips (depends how fussy I can manage to be cutting them up!)
    Veggies
    Gravy 3 syns

    So that's 1 HEA, 2 HEBs and 9.5 syns used. I think.
  • Hi all I just wanted see how much water you guys manage to drink in a day?

I'm sure you can have two HEAs as well as HEB's. You can use the laughing cow triangle as a part of your HEA2.
