Evening all,
Just found this thread. I'm a newbie to SW and am thinking of joining a local group. I've found the lingo on here a bit tricky to understand - please tell me SW is easy and basically what does it involve?Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

can anyone clarify "flexiday" for me
i have been using it for when i can't count or weigh something ie someone makes a cake and you have a bit but obviously don't weigh it out or if you go out to eat , say a pasta and salad buffet , again you can't weigh or measure anything .
i have done this on the very odd occasion and always tried to stick to plan for the rest of the day etc
but i read somewhere that flexi day means you set an upper syn limit and stick to it . how can i do that if i don't know the syn values ????? confused , sorry
I call a 'flexi-day' the same thing as an 'off' day - ie I have no control over the syns (restaurant) and so I dont count them at all, then get back on track right away, maybe reducing my syns the next few days to make up for it a little.
Today I'm doing EE:
tea with milk (1/2 HEA)
egg on a roll (HEB) with toms and mushrooms
1 pear and 1 plum
homemade carrot and lentil soup
1 pear and 1 plum
pasta bake (homemade) with tom sauce, veg, bacon and cheese (1/2 HEA) and salad
syns will be a hot choc in the evening (2) and 1 tsp ketchup and flora in my roll (2) = 4Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
Why Put Off Until Tomorrow What You Can Do Today? :A0 -
Good morning, just caught up with you all (it's taken ages!!!)
Well done all the losers and chin up for all of you who are finding it a bit tough at the moment. We all have times when it doesn't go so well but hopefully those times wont last too long and you will be back on track - YOU KNOW IT WORKS.!!
Who said they had gone off stuff? I have gone off some stuff (oily stuff mainly) but oh how I wish I could go off chocolate!!!! I just love the stuff in any shape or form. Being at target does mean I can have a chunk now and again but still not as much as I would like. Wonder if there will ever come a time when I can resist? (answers on the back of a postage stamp please). Good luck to you all xx0 -
Hi hi everyone!
Its weigh in time tonight dun dun dunnnni should lose some weight as i've been good all this week, had a slip up at the weekend but it shouldn't of affected me too much... hopefully!
The skinny cow ice lollies (the ones that look like mini milks) are very nice, my bf's mum had bought some, i had the caramel flavoured one and it a nice layer of milk chocolate on.

My friend gave it up for a year, (for a bet) and said when she went back on it she hated the taste  Bit extreme measures though :rotfl:I have tried for a month just before xmas, helps you to avoid those quality street tins in work :T Only trouble is on Xmas day I scoffed and I have to say one month isn't long enough to go off chocolate :rotfl:Think I might do that again this year.
My 3 screme eggs are still intact  Its a miracle! Will take them in for the friends (and moi) during tomorrow mornings "help my brain is masked and I need some coffee"- break
Didn't do too badly yesterday - I think. it was a green day, so syns were a mashed banana (? can't be more than 2) and gravy, roasties and some meat (3+3+6) so just about within the day's limit I think. Plus most of my means have been 1/2 or more superfree foods.
I'm having a bake day and am making butternut squash and red pepper soup. Despite the fact that I roasted the ingredients first, it has turned out a bit tasteless! and watery - my fault for using too much stock, so i've just added a tin of beans and whizzed it up to try to thicken it. The resut is it tastes like baked bean soup :rotfl:Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
DIZZY - glad you're almost lurgy free.
I think I'm going to follow your lead and try the 8 pm curfew. Not sure if I can muster up the willpower for just 1 square of chocolate but I could maybe have a curly wurly or something.
By the way I totally agree with Consultant 31 when she said about your attitude and sense of humour - you're great and I wish you all the best. xx0 -
hello all - haven't been posting as haven't been doing SW properly due to various reasons but am trying to keep to it as much as poss.
Just popeed on to let you know that the fibre plus bars are on 2 for £3 at Morrisons -which isn't that great a deal but when I bought some yesterday there was a glitch on the tills and they worked out at 31.90 for 2. So I went back for 8 more packs ;-)
hope glitch works everywhere - worth a try anyay as 2 for £3 is still about 60p off and thease are rarely on offer0 -
Morning all, I fell off the wagon a bit yesterday! Back on plan today though. I think I'm EE!!!
Brekkie - rice/yogurt/mixed berries/banana
Snack - grapes
Lunch - 6 crackerbreads (6), 2 laughing cow (part HEA, milk for the rest), HM salsa, lentil&veg soup, jelly (0.5), pear
Tea - ???
I need inspiration for tea....I have some mince and some bacon in the fridge, got to use up the mince as I took it out of the freezer. ANy suggestions?0
