hello all - haven't been posting as haven't been doing SW properly due to various reasons but am trying to keep to it as much as poss.

Just popeed on to let you know that the fibre plus bars are on 2 for £3 at Morrisons -which isn't that great a deal but when I bought some yesterday there was a glitch on the tills and they worked out at 31.90 for 2. So I went back for 8 more packs ;-)

hope glitch works everywhere - worth a try anyay as 2 for £3 is still about 60p off and thease are rarely on offer

lol i have a huge bag of fibre pus bars from morrisons. only trouble is there is no room in my cupboards for them!

have been good so far today
    ee
b - tall skinny cappucinno with sugar free hazelnut syrup (3) from starbucks, muller light, ham and dairylea sandwich(heb), grapes
l - muller light, melon, apple, 2 light babybel (hea)

my hea is split between the 1 dairylea triangle and the 2 light babybels.

not sure what i will have for dinner though, need something light as feel very bloaty after my little food fest over the weekend :o

    Good afternoon all

On the "going off things" front ... I have started to notice something else ... now things like pickled beetroot are tasting too sweet for me and even my "classic activia intensely creamy yog" -which did taste like greek yog are now tasting sweetened :( - I have cut the fibre plus bars down to 1 in a blue moon now too as I can't eat a full one as its too sickly

Im running late as we went for a tootle around the golf course this morning and then stopped off for another "top up shop" :p ....and we were as hungry as scabby dogs when we got in,,, so I whacked lunch on to cook whilst I put the shopping away....

Anyway todays EE meal plan is:-
    • 250ml semi
    • banana
    • apple
    • one-pot beef n red wine pasta (1)
    • 6g fresh shaved parmigano (1.5)
    • fresh pineapple
    • clementine
    • activia intensely (2.5)
    • potato n onion layer
    • frozen cherries, raspberries, blueberries
    • activia intensely (2.5)
now then that uses my heA and 7.5 syns... so I need to use my B and some more syns later.
The lunch was one of my new recipes and it was a hit :j mind I bet you are sick of hearing that.. its not often owt is considered pants in this house :D

Well folks... it is true -I have been abducted by aliens and replaced with someone verrrry strange ... Hubby came in from golf yesterday with a 18 pack of walkers crisps *I used to be SUCH a crips monster:o* and do you know -they didn't bother me in the least -I didn't even swipe one -not even a cheese n onion (my old fave)... hubby has now finished said crisps and made himself feel sick :rotfl:.... THEN when we nipped shopping on the way home -we only went and spotted rum n raisin ice-cream  -"did I mention I also used to be an icecream addict:o?" -and thats one of my faves -and its very rare you see it now days.... SO we have a tub of that in the freezer..although when I say WE I mean HE :D ...out of curiosity I syned it and bloomin eck its 10 syns for 100g  and lets be honest now ladies ... 100g of ice-cream isn't even worth dirtying a spoon for is it :rotfl:
Right I will stop waffling for now..and will pop back later and post the 3 latest recipes I have tried in case they are of use to anyone
    1. balsamic braised beef
    2. spanish rice with chicken and chorizo
    3. one-pot beef+red wine pasta
Have a lovely day everyone and keep up the great work:D

DIZZY - glad you're almost lurgy free.

I think I'm going to follow your lead and try the 8 pm curfew. Not sure if I can muster up the willpower for just 1 square of chocolate but I could maybe have a curly wurly or something.

By the way I totally agree with Consultant 31 when she said about your attitude and sense of humour - you're great and I wish you all the best. xx

    Aww thanku hun :p

I dont just have 1 square and nothing else (Im not that good :A).....I have my kitkat too nomnomnom and usually a penguin wafer at 4.5 syns but ive really got hooked on the nescafe skinny latte just this week ....lush :o
  • Afternoon all,

Just wanted to thank you for the cous cous fritter recipe - made a batch today and had two for lunch with grilled toms, mushrooms and baked beans. They were amazing! Looked just like the picture too - although mine may have been a bit more rustic! :rotfl:

I am still so full - usually by now I would be feeling peckish but can't believe that such a lovely lunch was free!

My SW recipe book arrived (with the free Jamie Oliver one) so thank you very much for the link to that offer. I'm looking forward to trying lots of new recipes - there are some lovely ideas for when we cook for friends - so good they won't realise they are eating SW food!
Hope you all have a great week,
    GG

    Afternoon All,

WI tonight - nervous - had a complete breakdown last night after a really good week - i scoffed a whopping 70 syns! In one sitting! Just hope it won't affect WI too much - why have i sabotaged myself???

On a plus point i made smargies this weekend and they went down lovely with everyone!

    Smargies
    Smash
    Curry Powder
    Onions (sliced)

I sliced the onions, made up some smash with curry powder added, mixed all together & 'fried' in frylight

Actually had a disaster with the 'frying' part (smoke alarm decided to go off!) so ended up putting them under the grill :o

I have found ben & jerrys small tubs of cookie dough ice-cream are 15.3syns - which i save all my syns for on saturday whilst watching telly! Just a shame i spoilt sunday!

Well done to all loosers & good luck for those still to WI

P.S. Dizzy - brilliant news about your ears :T - can we call you dipsy from now on lol (teletubbies with the antenae!):rotfl:

Can anyone help please?. I can only get 4% fat cottage cheese here in Germany. A search on syns online doesn't show anything other than fat free or lo fat:(. Does 4% count as low fat?
(mind you, I can get loads of fat free Quark dishes:T)

Morning all, I fell off the wagon a bit yesterday! Back on plan today though. I think I'm EE!!!

    Brekkie - rice/yogurt/mixed berries/banana
    Snack - grapes
Lunch - 6 crackerbreads (6), 2 laughing cow (part HEA, milk for the rest), HM salsa, lentil&veg soup, jelly (0.5), pear
    Tea - ???

I need inspiration for tea....I have some mince and some bacon in the fridge, got to use up the mince as I took it out of the freezer. ANy suggestions?

OOOH, how about mince burgers wrapped in bacon?! It's from last months slimming world mag, its really simple. I only made them yesterday!

I just shaped the mince into burger shapes (have no idea how to do them properly?!? binding with eggs or something?) and wrapped a slice of bacon on them and cooked for 25 mins in the oven, I had them with salad and potato wedges, you could have some big tomato slices to go on top of the burgers too :D
