Right, that's it - I've joined online this evening ...... gulp!!

I normally manage about a stone in 5-6 weeks realtively easily - and then get bored and give up after me$£ssing around for a few more weeks. I'm hoping that I can be more motivated this time :D

Looking forward to chatting to you all on here :)

  • Work is stressful at the moment so I'm really struggling to resist 'treats' but I am still resisting! I know I'm hovering on the edge of not having enough SF today, but I can't eat anymore :wall:

i always 'save' my Alpen Lights in case i need a treat? i can convince myself that they are a Mars bar? that way i can live without treats and feel really righteous :D
  • Hi everyone - good to hear about all the losses, and sorry to hear about the odd gain, and disappointing losses.
Yoemma - you are doing really well, and I'm sending a big group hug to keep you going. I know what you mean about having someone to keep you bolstered. We're here in the ether!
Dizzy - how are things on the floor? Hope the ABs are kicking in.
Just think of Oscar Wildes comment, "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
It could be transposed for many of us here!
Tim, my fab OH, made the classic curry out of the Curry Feast book tonight and it was fab. I went to the gym, and did 30 minutes in the bike, 5 rounds of boxing, and loads of weights. I am trying to do cardio that isn't too weight bearing to get this achilles sorted!

My day today has been OK apart from a sandwich attack at lunch time....

    Breakfast
2 slices of Vogel toast, baked beans and a dry fried egg. 1 apple

    Lunch
Dynorod soup, chicken/bacon sandwich (?18 syns?)

    Supper
Classic chicken curry, basmati rice, orange, raspberries and 0% fat free greek yoghurt.

Am stting here now with a big glass of water, planning tomorrows lunch a bit better!

    Hey ho

  • Evening all. I need to catch up on the last 4 pages - you lot can't half gab :p - so hugs and best wishes to all for losses, gains and sts.

Well after a strange week food wise I managed a 1lb loss tonight. I think I'm going back to my red and green days as I can over eat too easily on extra easy. I'm hoping to have a basics week where I weigh and measure and have just the 10 syns daily. Having said that I am going to the coast on Saturday and intend to have fish and chips. I'm sure it's illegal not to and I'd hate to break any laws tongue.gif

    Right better get reading :D

  • Hi everyone
Posted a little while back fell off the wagon but now back on it - hopefully! I've just a quick question regarding tinned fruit. I understand that it is not superfree and has to be taken as a HEB, for the reason you may eat more BUT does anyone eat tinned fruit and count it as free. I don't really buy a lot of fresh fruit as it just goes to waste so I like to have tinned fruit in for variety without it going off.

I just don't understand how you can eat as much fresh fruit as you want but have to HEB or syn tinned fruit. I don't go mad and have 5 tins a day and always fully drain the juice off. Will it really make much difference? I would love to have somepeoles opinions on the matter.

I usually do that too, either with alpen or fibre plus, I agree it feels like a treat! I just can't face breakfast when I'm on an early start at work, and I can't force myself out of bed early enough to give my stomach time to settle down :( If I could get away with it I'd take yogurt and fruit to work for brek, but I work standing up and moving around and it's not really practical

Scan bran is horrid... how many slices do people force down to try to lose more weight? I can't think of how to make it palatable (I don't like quark... )

a couple of quick questions. what flavours of muller lite are free?

and also i make a homemade root vegetable soup which is carrots, parsnips, swede, sweet potato onion, garlic, salt and pepper and veg stock cubes. can i still eat this? i dont normally put any cream or anything in it, so wondered if this would be ok for lunches as its yummy

All Muller Lights are free, except the chocolate and cheesecake ones.

Your soup would be free on a green day or an EE day.
