  • Hey guys, I started doing slimming world whilst at uni last year and sort of faded out SW when I moved back home as I wasn't in control of my meals. Anyways, a new uni year is here and i'm back on the wagon :-)

    maybe you guys could have a check over my meal plan and see if i'm going wrong anywhere? doing EE today btw. Realised it would probablly have been better to do a Red day, but forgot by the time tea came around ahaha.

    Breakfast - 2 lean bacon medallions and fried egg sandwich done in frylite. bread was Weight Watchers thick wholemeal (HeB)

    I had Flora extra light butter (not sure on syns), but how do you guys measure your butter? It seems a bit silly to get a spoon to measure it then spread it, and repeat to get enough to cover the bread.

    Lunch - had breakkie quite late, so had an apple, then later a packet of squares crisps (5) and roast chicken fridge raiders (2.5)

    Tea - Pasta bake with 1/2 Sainsburys Light tomato and something sauce (I think this is 10 for the jar so 5 syns) but it was halfed between me and my bf so 2.5 per serving. with a large side salad with celery and pepper and iceburg lettuce.

    Night Snacks - had an another apple

    Syns so far = 10 + butter syns

    Well, it's got to 7:30 and no syns have crossed my lips :eek:. Time either for a most delicious curly wurly... or save them for tomorrow as I am away with cadets and lunch is supplied. I was planning on taking crackers, cheese triangles, fruit and mugshots, but will wait and see.

    Rest of the day:

    B - Mr M saus (0.5), toms and beans

    L - Jacket spud with beans and cheese (HEA)
    (mmm, lots of beans..... don't stand too close tomorrow:rotfl:)

    T - Pasta n Sauce (tomato one), onion, mushroom and steam fresh veg

    Snack -Mugshot, 3 PagenRolls

    Full.

    Weigh it?
    Margarine/spread: very low fat varieties - 28g 3.5 syns (1 teaspoon is 0.5 syns so 28 g is quite a bit!)

    I am PMTing BIG TIME!! I seriously wanna kick the PMT monster's !!!!

    Today i gave in to "market stall" Thai Green Curry.. it was lovely but i could kick myself with lack of disipline!! Mind you i'd only had 2.5 syns all day up to that point so it could have been worse!!

    i am off to plan tomorrows munch... :D

    Don't give yourself a hard time - like you say you'd only had 2.5 syns so as long as you eat lots of speed food you should be fine!

    I've been eating mini Mars bars (4 syns). DH puts me one mini mars bar in the fridge and then hides the packet -so I'm not tempted to eat the lot and it does work when I crave chocolate!

  • Just seen some yummy looking desserts advertised on the TV! Has anyone tried them and if so are they worth the syns??

    Hi everyone :wave:, I am a SW newbie, but I have been reading this thread all of this week to get me ready to start tomorrow. After being an on/off WW follower I have to say that I am actually looking forward to starting a diet :eek: just can't believe how much you are allowed to eat. Anyway, the other reason for posting (other than saying hi) was to ask if there is anyway to work out how many syns are in the things that you buy that aren't on the list - like the WW points calculator?

  • for new recipes try https://www.slimmingeats.com , i found it the other day and it is AWESOME! my slimming world buddy is coming round tomorrow, and we are cooking either szechuan chicken (well, quorn) and egg fried rice, or curry :)
