Fab news about the hearing aid Dizzy :D A colleage of mine at work wears one (I don't remember any dalek antenna) and he certainly never misses a beat ;) he has a cochlea implant which press fastens to the side of his head (yes, he is a bionic man!) but won't wear it to work, since we worked out the cost of a pan of soup if it fell out into it while he was making it, and it was over £300! So he'd rather not wear that one to work. Plus he wasn't impressed when I suggested that if his "ear" fell off into the soup he'd be able to earwig on the customer's conversations, but also on their bowel movements :rotfl:

Good lord I'm just as obsessed with bowels as the rest of you!

    .

    :rotfl::rotfl:LMAO

The Dalek bit is part of the headband, thats just for while Im trying it out at home for the month (the doc said she could really get her Black & Decker out and start drilling holes in my head in case I didnt like it lol)....Its like a big lump of plastic that makes the band tight to your head to keep the processor hard against the bone behind the ear. When It gets done in the Op it will be a press stud type fixing fixed to my skull....quite clever what they can do :D They told me yesterday Its £6,700 for the op & processor if you go private for it
  • Oooooh, my SW magazine is here:D With a shiny calendar:T

mine arrived yesterday too. The calendar was a nice suprise.

Oh yes I remember now, it was £300 a portion, not for the whole pan :D

You've described exactly the same as what he had done. Said it hurt like hell (but then he is a bloke) but is loving it now.

Any suggestions that don't involve wheat of things I can buy today to help me through a hectic weekend? I can reheat things if that helps, and will probably be EE.

I assume you can reheat with microwave if so, how about jacket potato, baked beans and HEA of cheese on top? This would be good for either green or EE.

Boiled rice with roasted veg in it - again free on green or EE. Can be eaten hot or cold.

    HTH.

  • Afternoon all

Well I got back from my work residential trip yesterday. Sadly the food was not SW friendly - breakfast was ok, however there was no fruit provided at all and it was chips with dinner :(. Due to the inappropriate behaviour of some of the young people we could not let them out of out sights to make my own food. I did take some fruit to snack on though.

But I'm back on the SW wagon now, sneak peak at the scales so 1pound on :( but I'm going to do 100% all weekend and try to only have 5 syns per day repair damage.

    Green day: (will update later)

B - shreddies (HEB) and skimmed milk (HEA)
    L - HM pasta bake
    D - quorn chilli, rice
    Snacks - pear
Drinks - coffee, water, NAS squash, fizzy water
    Exercise - 30min walk

    Total syns =

hope you all have been good - not read thread since Sunday

    Hi everyone,
I've been a bit remisse... I want to lose weight but I feel that I don't want to go back to the SW classes - what should I do???
    Here's a lovely recipe:
    Salmon teriyaki
Put on plate 1 x salmon steak,
cover with teaspoon of chopped ginger, 2 finely chopped spring onions, 2 tb soya sauce, 1 tb water or sherry/ white wine vinegar (the recipe also suggests white wine or sherry but I tried it with sherry vinegar and it was lovely!)
Boil water in pan and put plate on top of pan and cover with lid. Steam for 5-7 minutes, then carefully turn the salmon and cook for another 5-7 minutes - make sure you don't overdo it.
    Keep salmon warm,
Steam veg of your choice (mangetout, red pepper, spring onions, broccoli) in a little of the water you used to steam the salmon. Add a tb of olive oil. Steam for 3 minutes.
Serve! (I did 2 steaks on one plate, worked well, saved electricity and water!!)
    :-)
