    Evening everyone

I've read that the weetabix oaty bars are an heb, but is it one bar or two? Thanks :)

    Its one bar for HEb

Am very stressed, came home from work to find dog had been very ill. The smell hit me as soon as opened door :(. Bless him he was very docile when I'd finished cleaning up the mess [yuk]. Good job he was caged. When son came home he gave dog a shower & hubby cleaned the cage [which I'd lugged outside]. I still think I drew the short straw though :o. He seems ok now though. Son has day off college tomorrow so will be able to keep eye on him :D.

    Anyway food today:
    B - weetabix milk [a] coffee
    L - 2 wm rolls [2xb], cheese [a], ex light s/cream [.5] toms, peppers, activia, crisps [5]
    T - mash, toms, onions, beans, b/sauce [1]
Snacks - pear, apple x2, pineapple, melon, Onken
    Syns - 6.5
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Thanks Dalia, I hadn't thought of that :o.
My clothes do feel a bit looser!

I get angry when I don't lose much, looking at your losses in your sig, you are the same as me. Do you have a lot to lose? if you don't then that can explain slow loss too. I've noticed my face has got thinner and that's where I put weight on, waist is also smaller and have had a few people comment on that. I am a size 12, 10.10 stone and 5'4 so only looking to lose a stone, think that's why it's slow. Also my boobs probably weigh alot!;)
  • anyone ever used a hot choc options drink but made it with milk ?
not had any HEA today but don't fancy it on its own
or i could syn some cocoa i suppose ??

Yep, I've made it with milk, very nice!

Thanks for the info, takeiteazy. If it's just one bar per heb I think I'll stick to fibre plus unless there are great offers on!

First proper post for a while, finally feeling a bit more like myself. I know I've put on a couple of pounds but I'm not stressing about it. Am exercising, clothes are feeling better and I feel so much better for being back on the healthy food :)

Loving the recipes mrsm, I'm definitely doing the buffalo chicken at some point

  • I made a recipie from one of the sw books - easy tuna pasta bake - which included a tub of quark and 6oz of VFFFF -I read it can curdle so stirred it in off the heat, and it looked lovely, however when put it under grill to brown off the grated cheese on top it went funny - do you think the extra heat in there curdled it?!? The annoying thing is I don't like cheese much so could quite easily have left the small sprinkle out which I might do next time as was nice otherwise.

Not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow after bad weekend and feeling blue today so had a snack size choc bar as found out I can't come off steroids for at least next few years because other drugs aren't shifting my RA aararrghhhhhhhhh!

Does anyone know how much I need to take cash to group tomorrow if I want to pay for sessions up to xmas to get the xmas book? x

Can't figure out if I'm just been stupid here but can't find ribena on the syns online, how much is it for the no added sugar?
Orther half is cooking me dhal so will pass on the recipe once made xx
Blimey, I hope it's zero syns, I've been drinking the stuff since I had young visitors and I bought a bottle for them and it's still sitting around!

WI and Xmas party tonight, lost 0.5 lb which is good, puts me 1lb under target. Being at target is great, it's such a sense of release and I still manage to stay within syns etc (except the fudge on Sunday).

My chicken liver pate and toasted wholemeal pitta triangles went down well. All the recipes I'd printed were taken away :)
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • thanks senor !!

Evening all, I made the thai green curry with the coconut essence tonight. It was yummy and I think only 1 syns per serving!!

This is how I did it.....
Fried off the chicken in fry light, added chopped onion, baby sweetcorn & sugar snap peas, cooked that off.
In a measuring jug I measured 1 pint of semi skimmed milk (I used my half as my allowance) and added about 1.5 teaspoons of coconut essense to the milk.
Poured this into the pan with the chicken, added two tablespoons of asda thai green curry paste (1 syns per tbsp) simmered this for a bit & added some smash flakes to thicken the sauce slightly. Served with boiled rice.
It really was yummy, felt like it was much naughtier than it was!! Deffo worth a try tho I know the coconut essence can be hard to track down I got mine on ebay, super fast delivery & just under £3 for 2 small bottles delivered.
