THREE Alpen Lites? but then as yummy as it is,thats getting quite expensive
Im currently trying to work out the cheapest HEBs
alpen lites are 5 for 99p in 99p store 19.8p each
hifis are 60p in a newsagent or 160 for 4 ( is that right)
Tinned fruit in juice is about 65p per tin
bread roll is 16p each if I buy kingsmill wm rolls
baxters tinned soup are about 80p?
crisprolls are about 90p for a bag- I think these are coming in as the cheapest,l as this bag has at least 15 crisprolls in -wish I counted now!
I am not sure about cereal but I guess pricewise it is much of a muchness.
Other things I dont really buy, ( eg ryvita)
I tend to have the alpen lites or hifi or crisprolls- as I said the occasional bread roll but it makes me feel rough so I dont want to depend on these.:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Just had an afternoon snack and am pleasantly stuffed - apple, banana, yoghurt and an alpen light:p
Need to go and pick up DD from school soon and it is weeing it down out there:(
I might do this, I love all-bran and Ive only just noticed it is 42g allowance, super!:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

ooh just seen recipes for couscous cake - might give it a go (not to overindulge tho - otherwise i know i have to syn it)
anyone tried it? I am excited. would it be ok with a rhubarb muller in?
Also, i only have sweetner tabs not ground, so would 4 tbsp canderel be about 4 tablets of sweetner?? thanks
EDIT - ok it's in the oven, fingers crossed!!!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Crisp £ note;
My fave meal (on green) is cheap as chips;
pasta (3Kg bag was about £3 and lasts forever - can also put Dyno-rod soup on top as pasta sauce), baked beans & topped with 42g rf grated cheddar
Also free (well it was can someone pls check) on a green day is Value Savoury rice - 28p (ish) a pack makes a fab filling lunch or side with HEb of chicken!

Ooh, you inspired me to make some too, although I think I have a different recipe - cous cous, lemon curd, juice and rind of a lemon, 2 eggs. It is smelling delicious. Looking forward to it with a cup of coffee before I go and get DD from cross country - poor thing, it is chucking it down and very muddy here!
that sounds lovely. I made this one from a recipe on minimins that uses sweetner,eggs and mullerlight. sounds and looks rank so goodness knows what's coming out of the oven later!
Might try your version if this one is a disaster - tho i dont have lemon curd - is it essential???Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Afternoon all
Well after all that talk of rice pud (that Im not even that bothered with usually)-I have been and whipped up some ... I have some 10g sachets of flavoured sugars (supposed to be for biccies/cakes -I can also get vanilla/lemon;)) -so I have stuck an orange 1 in .... and then Im going to try it for brekkie -warmed up and with 55g organic rhubarb yog whacked in to slacken it off and with berries on top ...nomnomnom -and after all the trouble you seem to have finding pudding/shortgrain rice in the UK I may have to bring some back with me
-I pay 20c for a 500g box (and for someone who doesn't use it much -I somehow have 5 boxes in the store in the basement
)
so -after all that waffle -my 155g rice has made enough for 4 good portions and each serving will cost me:-
milk -1/2heA
sugar 0.5syn
yog - 1 syn
I can live with that as I struggle to use my syns somedays..
On the heB front -I have actually begun to only have the fibre plus bars once in a blue moon now as I was getting into having 1 every night and it was becoming a habbit I didn't want -plus they are €2.49 a box here :eek:
Because today is a green day I have turned my heBs into cheese... well I can't give up my 500ml semi (2As)
... my bones should be nice n healthy at this rate
