So I haven't gone too mad then 15 - 18 syns guestimated between you and Mrs M. And there was I thinking I didnt understand this SW at all ! Still not convinced myself I can sustain it longterm though :o:(

    Course you can! :0)
It's purely about choice - swap the spam for lean ham (free), eat fresh fruit (free) instead of tinned, swap Tesco cheesy mash for HM cheesy mash (free plus HEa) etc etc and you're laughing!

I've come and gone over the years but I always return to SW as it's the ONLY sustainable healthy eating weight loss plan out there - to the point that I will continue it after I concieve (if I ever do) as it's the only one you can do - that's how healthy it is! :D

It'll become second nature after a while and it'll be so easy you won't remember finding it hard!

    Hugs, C xx

(SW has done wonders for my IBS)

You're not wrong - since DH and I started living together his IBS has virtually disappeared (also helped with a change in his acid refulx medication), no pain, no upset stomachs, no gas (phew!). It's THE best way to eat :D

Sorry, I don't work for SW but I do believe in it :o (having done some horrendous diets in my time....)
  • Sorry to ask again but can someone please check the syns in Heinz Light Salad Cream for me please?

    Cheers

Wish I could say the same for my IBS, I never had it til I started sw the 1st time, now its so bad at times i'm on medication. I've been investigated at the hospital [wouldn't wish that on my worse enemy], had biopsys, the lot. Its probably due to me doing mostly green days I think but nothings proved. Just seems strange though.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Aw, bless you TakeitEazy :( Maybe it depends what sets it off - my FIL eats a lot of 'pies' and processed foods (lives out of the freezer & doesn't eat anything green) and it didn't do DH any good. I do hope your symptoms get better - how about EE as it'd be less carbs and more 'normal' style meals - a good balance?

I have to admit today was an off day, mainly because we didnt go to the shop yesterday to prepare for today so have been scrabbling round for stuff to use up.

As I said earlier though its only been since last week when I started adding re-adding pasta, basmati rice, potatoes, (ww) bread / bagels daily that the weight has started to increase again.

Have looked on the first post on first page of this post but cant see any mention of SW plan info.

    Thanks

Maybe red days are better for you then? I know I lose much better when I cut bread out completely (which I have done this last week) and although I could live on pasta I do try and eat as little as possible. Everyone's different which is why there's different plans even within SW. Will try and find an old SW thread with the info on - don't you have the books?

The rice pudding was a great success last night, good to have a proper pudding. The recipe called for a huge amount of sweetener though. Still feel a little uncomfortable about using sweeteners. I have been reading about Stevia, but it seems to be banned in the EU? Has anyone found it/tried it?

Glad your rice pud was nice - loved mine and got more for tomorrow.
I too dont feel comfy using sweetners - never have and doubt I ever will. Ive been like Ive had one of those energy drinks all evening:rotfl:think Il stick to fruit sugar in tiny amounts or a teaspoon of my agarve syrup as Id rather add natural sweetner and add it on as syns than have sweetner, just my personal view as Ive never been keen on them myself.

I know people on the vegan forums who use stevia but it is hard to get hold of, Ive had foods with it in and its fine. It is banned in the E.U Id like to try it but so hard to find, might try Xylitol or other fruit sugar instead?

I do have the occasional diet coke again now which is not good, mainly stick to water.
