  • Right, I haven't been very healthy for the last two weeks, what with a birthday meal, delays at work (=me munching) a weekend away and various other excuses. So weigh in this week, I fully expect to have gained but it's my own fault. However, I really need to get to that stone loss mark by the end of the month so new month = back on track. I must!!

  • I keep forgetting to eat which DSs find really weird. I don't ever feel hungry, I think it may be my meds preventing me from have feelings of hunger. If I am alone at home during the day I sometimes don't eat until everyone is home from work etc.

Yesterday I had my breakfast, porridge and fruit at 1pm, then ate with the family at 6pm.Do I need to try to fit another meal in?

I have realised that I have not eaten today so will go and get my breakfast now. I do remember reading somewhere not to eat porridge etc after 12 noon. Does it matter when I eat particular foods? I am losing weight but probably not the correct way on SW.

    WI week 4 - 11 st 5 lb GAINED 2 1/4 lbs :mad::eek:

 Well I am gutted. Especialy as I haven't really changed anything significantly or scoffed anything I shouldnt, no chocolates or naughty munchies, everything no or low fat, salad, fruit and veg, exercised, stayed positive and motivated.

Been eating Fruit and cholesterol lowering drink for breakfasts, salad for lunch, then low fat meals for dinner with lots of veg, fruit n fromage frais as a snack, lots of water and a little exercise.

Its really becoming a big issue problem for me now as I have had this trouble for past few years. I get to 11st 2lb and then it goes up not down. Its not psychological as I have really tried hard even more so this time. Went to the doctors 3 months ago, who told me to try WW (but I opted for SW), been back to same dr 3 times and weighed in over 3 months and lost, lost then STS when I was offered the 'diet pill' which I said no to (cos I dont see the point in them to be honest a lot of bowel trouble :o for 1lb extra loss not worth it (then what happens when you come off them?) ).
What the dr has not seen since seeing her about 6 weeks ago is the massive weight gain from 11st 2 to 12 stone then the losses back down to 11st 2. So if I go back to see dr this week all she will see is a gain of 3lb and probably think I have not been trying hard enough.

I am so :( and at the edge of giving up all the hard work as I have failed to break through the wall again and get into the 10 st band. I will try so so hard this week again for all it is worth.

    So fed up.

Sorry to moan. Have a good week everybody. Thanks.

Hi Crisp.....Sorry you're feeling down about seeing a 2nd weeks gain on the scales...Did you ever get round to joining a group or consider doing it online? it might help you to understand the plan a little more?

Also I think it might help if you posted in detail exactly what you're eating each day.... so people can point out if there is anything wrong with your menu.

The thing with SW is you have to follow the plan properly for it to work.each day on top of your lean meats, fish, pulses, veggies and fruit you have a HEA & HEB....Missing these out can affect your losses.

You're also allowed 10-15 syns a day, this maybe items used in cooking such as flour, or butter on your toast, or a drizzle of honey in your yog or cheese with your salad or extra bread.....anything thats not in the FREE list. If you're going over on these syns then its going to affect your losses too.

If you follow the Plan to the letter IT WORKS ;) you just maybe havent got to grips with it and are missing something out. The 1st page
of the original thread had all the info on SW and what to do.

    Good afternoon all :D

No trip to the gym for me this morning -woke up still aching -so I decided to be sensible *not something Im often guilty of* and give it until Wednesday, good job too as it is tipping it down and getting soaked wouldn't have helped much!!!

Anyhoooo - we need to nip shopping tonight, mainly veg, fruit, milk n eggs and various other odds n sods.... so I made a big ole pan of cornedbeef hash yesterday so it could stand -then I can just warm it up when we get in...and whack a lumpading in .... ....
SO -being a sneaky wee soul -I have decided today is an EE day -I was going to do green -so I just had to pay for the corned beef bit of the hash-but if I did that then it would be 11syns per 100g -NOW if I go EE I only pay 3 syns -now I know I have to lose an A+B -but asa I haven't used any yet ..it won't matter

So then my EE plan for today is:-
    • banana -wasn't hungry
    • cold -cabbage, carrots, nobbies - :D
    • apple
    • 110g rhubarb yoghurt (2)
    • cornedbeef hash :-
    • potatoes
    • onions
    • carrots
    • parsnips
    • swede
    • marrowfats
    • cornedbeef (3)
    • lumpading (6)
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1tsp camp (0.5)
    • 1 fibre plus (B)
So that will be 1A+B and 11.5syns .. I will also have some fruit this evening if Im hungry.... but after my hash n lumpading I doub't I will be ..I have made a huge vat of the stuff -so hubby can take extra with home made bread for lunch tomorrow ;)

PoohBear... I used to go ages without eating -but since I started making myself have brekkie it has kickstarted my appetite - and its only odd days, like today that Im not hungry when I get up. I don't beilieve it matters what you eat when -It is what I do... If I wanted leftover cold potato for brekkie I would have it and if I wanted my cereal for supper I would. As long as you are eating your A+Bs and your syns -along with some free stuff (depending what plan you do) -you should be fine...
right Im off.. have a good afternoon all!!

I've never heard anything about not eating porridge after 12pm!?!

I do think you should fit in a 3rd meal...even if it is just some fruit and a yoghurt, or a piece of cheese on toast for your HE's....your metabolism will halt if it is not being fed.....little and often is better than not at all.

Can you maybe set an alarm to remind you to grab something to eat.

i just had 2 sachets on my jacket from the staff canteen
  • Has anyone made the Lancashire hotpot in the confort foods book that came with the mag? Im planning it for tea tonight

Going EE today as it seems to be the easiest option having the hotpot for tea

Bfast - didnt have anything, I usually never skip bfast but am so full of cold I couldnt face anything

Lunch - 2 nimble bread HEB scrambled egg, mushrooms, corn on the cob

Dinner - Lancashire hotpot which Il have with a bag of steam veg

Snacks - will have some fruit this afternoon, maybe a yoghurt too and got some chocolate fingers should I need something sweet :)

Syns - 4 for the butter in scramble egg and on toast
  • Oh I have just realised I haven't posted my meal plan for today....

    B - Weetabix, Milk (HEa+b)
    S - Banana
    L - HM veg soup. 1/2 Mars Duo (9.5)
D - Chick pea dahl with rice, wholemeal pitta (HEb)

Still a HEa to use and MAY have an options drink for 2 syns this evening.....

Having a nightmare at the moment...we are meant to be going out in October to a concert, but my mum and sis both work evenings, FIL wouldn't be able to deal with the two LO's and MIL is unlikely to want to leave her boyf, who is starting chemo for multiple cancerous tumours, this week! I don't really like her sitting anyway as she isn't too good with babies tbh!!

I wish I hadn't even booked the stupid concert as it is just starting to stress me out:( I have told dh to go with his mate instead, but he doesn't want to as it just happens to be my birthday on that day!!

    Stupid Concert

    Afternoon all,

Well today will be my first day on the plan (now i've been shopping and gotten my sw friendly foods in) and my starting weight is 11st5lb.
I'm going for a EE day today -

B - bran flakes (HEB) and milk (part HEA, rest in cuppas) and nana
L - pasta with cheese sauce and loadsa mushrooms(made with veg stock cube and low fat soft cheese 1.5) - yuk only ate 1/4 hence why i'm not counting the full syn amount for cheese
T - gammon with pots and loadsa veg
    S - danone delights yog 5.5

Total syns so far - 7
Also plan to do 10000 steps and make a huge pan of carrot and corriander soup for snacks and tomoros lunch.
