Broccoli and stilton soup - I've worked it out to be about 5 syns per portion, including a dash of cream. I make a big pan full which is about 6 portions. Same with mushroom soup with a dash of cream and made with milk. I love both for lunches in winter.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0

How do you make your mushroom soup?
I'm sure i could make the broccoli & stilton soup without and syns by using the cheese as heA, makin it free on EE and green0 -
the lancashire hotpot was yum! only niggle was that it was too liquid, I prefer a thicker sauce so next time Il coat everything in a couple tsp flour before putting in the oven0

Hi there,
A few years back I managed to lose just under 2 stone with slimming world but have since put most of that weight back on. Truely depressing!
At the present time I am a full time nursing student. so after being on the wards for 37 and a half hour weeks at a hospital which is an hours drive away each way, I also have to keep up to date with my essays and when not on placements, attend lectures.
So being able to attend the group sessions is un likely and the cost of joining the online thing is outside of the relms of student funds.
Would people be able to help me with say....weekly passwords or the answer to any syn questions I may have? Also, how does this extra easy thing work as I have never been able to get my head around that one lol.
Thank you B:AMake love not war

Had a rubbish weekend, LO ended up in hospital and i ended up relying on vending machines:( She is ok now, had a virus which totally knocked her for 6.
Back on plan today:
Breakfast 21g All Bran (3) FF activia (0.5)
Snack Banana, FF activia, Alpen light (3)
Lunch WM roll(B), cheese(A), Ham (0.5), Pickle (0.5), HM lentil soup
Snack Banana
Dinner Same as lunch(1)(B)(A) and a coffee
Used both A+B and 9 syns
Will have a mugshot later if i'm hungry and maybe a fudge. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Mushrooms, onions, 2 veg stock cubes, 1 1/2 litres hot water, black pepper, stick of celery, simmer for about 15 minutes, cool down then blitz in blender, make a roux with 1/2 pint semi-skimmed milk, combine the two, simmer for a short time, add some single cream to taste. The milk and the cream are where the syns lie! Same procedure but different ingredients for the B&S soup.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -

Thanks Dizzy, she is better now, we just have to be really careful with her as she has so many serious problems.
Felt really sluggish and crap after living from the vending machine, my parents bought me a chinese when we got out too as i was knackered. Tummy is in an uproar, doesnt know whether its coming or going. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

I even wrote it down and Im going to try and do it exactly the same this time... even though hubby has all but begged me NOT to have anymore *can't imagine what he means* :rotfl:but Im making it again as its really tasty and I left mine in big lumps and didn't even add any water so it was really "stick to your ribs"
I make mine too MrsM with whatever I have... as the Old Style MSE'rs thread... Bottom of the fridge soup. To use up all the bits that are on their way out and leave it chunky so it's more like a stew. So mine is different everytime.
OH loves it, I have had to teach him how to make it :rotfl: and he makes it for his food flask to take to work virtually everyday."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0
