Meant to go for a Mexican Friday too:eek: only thing I can see is a possible is the veggie chilli with rice but im not too keen on a huge bowl of chilli its a bit spicy there. Cant have my usual buritto I know!
Would cajun chick pea ratatouille be ok do you think if I asked for starter sized portion with rice side order and veggies?

  • The quinoa porridge breakfast thingy tastes fine, so that is breakfast sorted for a couple of days, using part of HEA only.
I have got rice pudding on the go, I found some pudding rice in our local shop. I have adapted a Delia Smith recipe. I will post it if it turns out well!

Well even after my Prezzo pizza & wine on Friday I've lost 3lbs :D whoop! DH away with work this week so hope I can stick with another good week!

What do people have for brekkie on ee without using your heb (other than bacon, egg, mushrooms & toms)?

Oh wow, fantastic loss....I knew you could do it.

BTW in case you are interested, my previous name was a 'coloured mel' Please don't say it out loud, as I have had to re-register to hide;)

I weigh-in tom morn and doubt I have lost this week with my chocolate binge due to stupid flaming periods that are allowing me a measly 9 days off in between each one:( Fingers crossed though....I have also decided to save my mars duo until tomorrow, no point scoffing that the day before weigh in.

    xx

Does this sound ok for an EE day tomorrow?
    B - Bacon, beans, mushrooms & tomato
    L - Vegetable paella
D - BBQ Chicken (HEA for cheese) with SW chips & stirfry
Snacks will be nectarine, grapes or plums and SF jelly (0.5syn)

Going to make bacon cheeseburger & sw chips for later in the week (means I can't have tea at work but no great loss) - is it ok to have fruit as dessert as I don't enjoy salad with something like that?

Thanks for all the comments regarding underactive thyroids. My aim is 1lb a week, I know that that is the "scenic route" but I'm in no hurry, all my weight didn't go on overnight! Any more than that would be a bonus.

Velveteen, as I understand it, one pound a week is the RECOMMENDED route, not the scenic route - the scenic would be going up some weeks and down on others I should imagine. They say at SW that a one pound loss per week is ideal, you are less likely to put it on if it comes off slowly like that. As Consultant (I think) pointed out a page or two back, one pound a week = 52 lb a year = nearly 4 stone loss in one year. Good luck, you can do it!
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • Enough for what :rotfl:

just what I was thinking ;)

Saw quinoa flakes in the health store yesterday - might be better than the grain for porridge but did not get any.

Alison, you'd need to check the quinoa flakes. In the book although quinoa is free the ground quinoa is 4.5 syns per 28g, it doesn't mention flaked quinoa. I checked rice and both flaked and ground are 5 syns per 28g, so I would imagine quinoa flakes = ground quinoa in the syns scores .
