    Good morning all

Well done on the losses folks :T

The thing about the SW mags mainly being based on EE - they do put a list in the magazine giving the syns for the other 2 plans too and you can soon adjust them if you are using your A/B selections as part of the ingredients ;)

Hope everyone is well, Im feeling a little less tender this morning *thanks to lashings of Ibuprofen gel me thinks* ... Im still a bit tight n stiff, but hopefully we are on the mend -I want to get to the gym tomorrow :p...I will just ignore the hand bike and stick to the treadmill and bike as the bottom half of me feels fine :D..
Anyway -weigh in this morning and another 2lb has gone :j-I seem to like 2lb -I think I have lost 2lb for the last 6 or 7 weeks running :p

So then -today is RED and my meal plan looks like this..
    • 2 boiled eggs
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • roast beef
    • 1/2x8" yorkshire pud (4.5)+milk from allowance
    • carrots
    • cabbage
    • cauli
    • nobby greens
    • 2tsp bisto best (1)
    • 3 ryvita (B)
    • 2 laughing cow light (3)
    • salad
    • 454g rhubarb-stewed (B)
    • 110g Rachels rhubarb yog (2)
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1tsp camp (0.5)
SO then -thats 2A+Bs and 11syns accounted for....
Im doing some more "tweaking" this week ... Im going to be cutting my portions down and trying NOT to eat so much fruit -I know its good for me...but I can eat silly amounts and I think that I choose that first and then find I struggle to use my A+B and syns... so lets see how this week goes shall we ;)

Have a great day everyone and keep at it,,we are getting there:T

    Morning All

Ive been Awol as my Laptop has been playing up for reasons unknown

Hello to any newbies that Ive not welcomed & hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend.

Yesterday ended up being a Green Day OH was out at golf and didnt want anything other than a sandwich when he got in :o (I think this may have been in protest at having to trail back out to the supermarket to buy fruit that dopey head here forgot the day before lol:rotfl:) Anyway while he was snoring on the sofa I tucked into dippy egg with chips and beans (with aromat of course ;)) it was quick and it hit the spot.

Today is EE Ive got a braised steak & onions on the go for tea with carrots, fine beans & cabbage (OHs mum brought them ffrom the allotment yesterday) some lovely SW roasties nomnomnom.:)

Brekkie was banana nectarine & activia HEA milk for teas

Lunch turkey, savoury rice & mixed steamfresh veg pack

    snacks nectarine plums

    HEB fibre plus
    Syns penguin wafer 4.5 3 cubes dairymilk bubbles 3 = 7
  • Hello, newbie over here!!

I joined SW 3 weeks ago, probably at the wrong time because I had all sorts of things going on! But, I have managed to lose 1.5lbs so at least its a loss. Hopefully now everything has settled I can get my head around it, I have never done anything like this before and considering I have a severe chocolate addiction (which is going to stop!) my body will go into shock!

I have read a few pages in this thread but it moves so fast I would be here for days trying to catch up!

Has anybody else struggled to get into the whole routine, i've been so used to treating my body like a bin (hence the need to lose about 6 stone!). Also anybody with underactive thyroids on here? How hard have you found it to lose weight.

    Sorry for the questions!

We have colds here, worst thing about working in a school is you pick up so many germs!

The rice pudding/breakfast idea was a disaster, as I was cooking some plums to go with it and thought I would combine the two. The milk curdled! I did still try to eat it, but it was pretty awful. Back to the drawing board....

alisont - I remember the Gillian McKeith Quinoa porridge thing too - still want to come up with a breakfast that doesn't use up my HEB.

I had a lovely free breakfast today of Quorn sausages, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes, cooked in a baking tray in the oven using frylight. Served with lots of baked beans. Yummy and so filling. I would have that in the week if I could, but don't have enough time.
I am going to look for pudding rice in our local shop today. I have a feeling it is the sort of thing they would stock, rather old fashioned. I did my supermarket shop earlier in the week so can't justify going all that way and it sounds difficult to find!

    Rest of the day (green):
    Skimmed milk for tea HEA
Lunch: soup (veg and broth mix - going to make loads to take to work)
Dinner: Pizza (wholemeal base, using both of my HEBs), topped with passata, fennel, olives (2 syns), capers, garlic, chillis, 1 tablespoon olive oil (6syns)
    Possibly rice pudding too!
    Treat: chocolate options 2 syns
    So that is 10 syns, 2xHEB 1XHEA.

Good luck on the date flutterbyuk!
    Have a great day everyone,
    Liz x

  • The quinoa chat reminded me that I bought McKeiths book aaaaaaaaaaages ago! Just had a quick flick through and actually there might be some stuff I can use. She also seems to do a porridge with buckwheat 'groats'. No idea what a groat is tho...
