Am bribing myself to be good so I can have a breakfast sandwich at work on Friday otherwise I'll have to sit there smelling everyone elses and I'm NOT doing that! What do you think the best to go for is - bacon & egg on brown (I doubt they do wholemeal) with no butter & no sauce? I can always open it to cut the fat off?
At work my boss is on low carb and I'm on SW so I fetch us just the bacon (and egg, mushroom, tomato if we are splashing out) with no bread or bap. To me it is an improvement as I'm not a fan of bread anyway, but I know others love it.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

Hi
Have had a good day today,
B- usual 28g porridge made with 1/2 water and 1/2 rice milk from allowance, fresh berries on.
L - Quinoa with poached tofu and vege (so nice!)
D - savoury rice, piles of veggies and a frys veg sausage in it.
Snacks - Fruit salad, grapes, banana during the day
If hungry might have more rice later or a yoghurt.
Not had any cravings today - will get the choc ones later no doubt - so wish there was a dairy free low cal hot choc out there:(
1st weigh in tomorrow:eek: really hope I have lost as feel Ive stuck to the plan.
Been out for a walk with students I was supporting today for about an hour in the woods at the horti centre. Heard a rumour the gym in my village at the High School is re opening so got to chase that up, not fit enough for the circuits class yet by a long way but would love to go to the gym!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Random question: why don't you need to have 1/3 superfree on green or red?
I kind of know, but it'll be rambly (because that's the way I am).
On red there were free things, eg lots of vegetables and fruit and meat and fish, then some other things (potatoes, pasta etc) had to be weighed and used as Healthy Extras.
On green there were free things, eg lots of vegetables and fruit and potatoes and pasta, then some other things (meat, fish) had to be weighed and used as Healthy Extras.
and the world was happy with these two plans, though they were a tad complicated for simple people like me.
So then Slimming World decided we could be trusted to not overeat if we were given free rein on vegetables and fruit and meat and fish and potatoes and pasta all at one time .... but they don't quite trust us enough to eat healthily, thus the law that you must have one third superfree (the things that are free on both red and green, eg lots of vegetables and fruit) at each meal.
The theory being that only leaves two thirds of the plate for meat, potatoes etc.
Which, back in the olden days, would have been what people ate - one plate, with some meat on it (and a chicken lasted our family of four for more than two meals), some potatoes, and a couple of green vegetables. But in more modern times as we have become better off and had access to more exotic food (and to ready made food in the form of frozen and takeaways, and eating out more in restaurants) we've become greedy for the wrong things. For instance, in an Indian restaurant, how many people have one-third superfree on their plate? Except for vegetarians, very few I bet. Yet in India I would imagine there is much less meat eaten than vegetables.
Sorry, I will get off my soapbox now. And my theory may be entirely wrong.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!
