Oh, and I find choices work too - do you want to cook tea while I'm giving Izzy her bath or do you want to do bathtime while I cook. (That WHILE is quite important too - he doesn't always grasp the importance of the fact that saying he will do something means he has to do it today )

I do both of those things too.

I deliberately started brushing Alice's hair sideways as soon as it was long enough to do so. She's still never had it cut.

was just doing some squeezes............
and checking on Kian. he fell asleep nearly 2 hrs ago so hasnt had any tea apart from a fish finger bout 4.30pm

My Auntie's builder asked Alice what she wants for Christmas today. She said she wants Santa (as in the cuddly toy Santa which we already have and get out every December). I think she was actually a little perplexed by the question as it's not a concept she's come across before.

ETA: Wanting things for Christmas that is - she's knows about Christmas.
