MFD - Jillie reminded me of walker books, we have little rabbit foo foo (poss a bit exciting but a great book you NEED) and Some dogs do
I used to read Can't you sleep little bear when I was little, thats a nice quiet time book - the description says
Winner of the Kate Greenaway Medal and the Smarties Prize for Children's Books, Can't You Sleep, Little Bear? is a luscious-as-chocolate tale that should find a place on every pre-school bookshelf.

Scottish ladies, the Family SS will be in Edinburgh on the 22nd November for a few days. Any builders want to show me their spirit levels? Or recommend cheapish centralish B&Bs for people who want to buy a cheapy crappy pushchair and not hire a car if we can avoid it?

Or recommend things to do for when we do want to hire a car and travel outside the city a bit?
FIL informs me that the buses in edin are fabulous, he and MIL go all over the place on them.
We found the Zoo pretty hard going, its a bit of a mountain climbing exercise but you don't really need to trek around ALL of it to enjoy it but if its icey I'd be wary of paying to get in then finding it impossible to enjoy for fear of falling.
WE absolutely LOVED East Links Family Park not sure what it would be like in winter tho.
We had fun in http://www.theceramicexperience.co.uk/ if you wanted to make something and have it glazed call them to see when they do the glazing, the one in lieth was only doing them on thursday nights for pick up friday but as FIL lives there he picked it up for us :)
I'll just bung all the links I have saved in my Edin folder here for you :)

He is a tryer your hubby!!!

Isn't he just! At least he remembered to get Joe. He hasn't uttered one word to me so i think i'll cook mine and Joes teas before mum brings Alex back. Too much to expect him to have made anything for us. Surfing the Net and watching Man verses food is much more important.

Or so the doc thinks... I still think its something else but still. Trust your mummy instincts, have you any thoughts about what it may be? Any further discussion about early teething?

Feeling incredibly down today, just wana break I feel exhausted... You need a break hun, it's not good for you or T for you to get to the point of breakdown
I know I am not working at the mo... Yes you are, you are working extremely hard at being a fabulous mummy, partner and housekeeper....and my OH has just started a job but I really feel like I am having to do everything, all OH does is one feed when he comes home, I get the bottle ready for him and bring it to him and then thats it, all the rest is 'my job' Now it your (plural) jobs, yours and his so he keeps saying... he also comes home asking what I am cooking for tea, have I done his washing, etc. Respond with - Nothing, No, have you done mine? what are you cooking for dinner? He also doesnt do ANY housework... I feel totally fed up.

And he just phoned saying he wont be home until late as he is meeting a mate for a drink... thanks. Then he politely adds 'oh I cba doing a feed tonight as I wana shower when I come in' oh great! And he is going away from Sunday intil Wednesday so I am going to be completely alone...

:mad::mad::mad: I'm still on me high horse, sorry hun... I just really want for you to have the support you need!

Yes you are working at the moment - at the hardest job known to man - being a very good mother! It takes lots of hard work, on call 24/7 and you get no thanks or promotion at the end ;)

    aww (((hugs))) kitkat.

i think most of us on here have had issues with OH/DH at some point over how little they help or dont understand how hard looking after a baby is.

my DH is much better with Kian now he can 'do things' with him as opposed to when he was small and only ate/pood/slept... but i needed a 'chat' and me in tears before he realised how much i needed him to help

Thanks Cafc, your a star :)

I will defo say what you said, think everythings just got to me today as I popped into work and colleagues kept asking who was doing what and I kept saying me.. .and that it hit me.. I am doing !!!!!!! everything. I feel a bit annoyed at myself as I feel so tired... but T is sleeping from 11pm until 9am at the mo so a super sleeper, so why am I so tired... Think I am actually glad OH isnt home until late as it gives me chance to just chill out.

He is going away with work, I think its training although I didn't really listen LOL.

Nothing from the doc/ HV about early teething, they keep looking at the white spots in his mouth saying its milk... even I know its not jeffin milk!! I still do think there is some type of allergict reaction going on, I shall try the infacol they prescribed, even though I have basically used it every feed for weeks, at least I can get it free now!! I felt awful today taking him into my work as everyone kept saying 'he's got a rash on his face' and looking at me as though I was doing something wrong, yes I know he has a rash! Plus when I fed him he kept crying when I was burping him, everyone kept looking at me as though I was knocking him about, I promise you I wasnt he just gets so uncomfortable when being burped. Grrr!!
