How are you feeling today Susan?
Still feeling sick (and more so than last time). I also have the need to eat strong flavoured things which happened last time up until the day after the bleeding started when I started eating turkish delight instead.

both my booking appts were on a sunday, my midwife said it's because they like to come to your house and it's a good day to do house calls as they have no clinics.

You could refuse and have in the week if you wanted to in our area, as some people didn't like it :)
Mine only came to the house at about 36 weeks for the birth plan. She said it was to make sure they knew where your house was ready for the postnatal visits. A home booking appointment would have been good - I had to postphone mine because I was too ill to make it to the surgery.

No. Well they have secret saturday appointments very early in the mornings but no one is meant to know unless its a dire emergency.
I was assuming that the booking appointment was at the Doctors but presumably it isn't.

I will definitely have to let him but he is a very OS and frugal cook and tbh I never enjoy the things he makes much (chicken broth using the bones, home-made pizza, 'stovetop lasagne' and the like).
You'd better not come here for dinner then. (Although we did have pizza from the pizza shop today.)

Thanks Bexta Smartie and Tia :)

Can anyone suggest any type of routine/ way of entertaining a 5 week old? I dont want any type of strict routine, but I would like to work to something so both of us know what we are doing.

We don't have routine at this stage as such but try to keep Daisy awake as much as poss during day, have play times on her playmat, cuddles etc and make sure nightime/bedtime is different - dark, no chatting etc.

I love my Dyson although I find it quite heavy and certainly wont be using it for a few weeks yet... so DH has to do the Dysoning;)

Daisy is going to be the cause of a baby boom... she's making everyone who meets her broody!!:rotfl:Even my "now gay only likes baby boys" friend has turned "little girls are great and would like one" And my friend who visited earlier.... lets just say I know what she's going to be up to later!! *wink wink*:rotfl:

I may start charging for "Daisy cuddles"!:D Would I have to pay tax???

Hope Lily gets better soon and hospital goes ok EA:)

kitkat, don't take this the wrong way but is it possible that some of T's crankiness is because he's not sleeping enough? A baby his age can usually only go maximum 2 hrs between waking & the next sleep. You might be surprised a how much he sleeps if you give him the chance to (i.e., put him in his basket or whatever) and that will probably sort out his bedtime, too. Just some ideas :o. At his age, there's not a lot to do during playtime - just some simple things like pulling faces and singing silly songs.

    weezl, :T :T :T for Fergie's sentence!

EA, hope Lily gets what she needs from the hospital appt.
