Firefox is so slow and always 'not responding'. It's making me mad...
DS1 is also making me mad today, he is being a right royal pain in the behind. So since we have decided that he needs a review, I have been reading the out of sync child. And it is sooo DS1. Trying to understand and realised that a lot of his behavour over the years has been difficult, still he is managing to annoy me while I try and have patience. Fun times. And Amber is just wild today! Screaming at me when I move her away from danger (like the oven that was on and she was trying to open!) and generally just getting into everything! She has also discovered her walker in a big way, so Husky dog is her best bud and she grabs it and legs it when I tell her off. She got up to the loft today! Then threw a tantrum because she wanted to look about, so we had to spend 5 mins up there while she looked.
Random announcement, I am recovering my ability to lucid dream, hormones interfere with it. So last night I had fun looking in a mirror and changing my hair and eye colour. I want green eyes now
Tonight I may run off with SS and I'll make her wear one of those kinky Oktoberfest dresses with holey tights0 -
 this woman on Don't Tell The Bride needs a slap in the chops. She made her sister call the groom because she hated a lovely dress and insisted on a more expensive one! Mine, her husband's no better. He had a stag weekend in Amsterdam and sent her out for dinner for her hen AND his wedding ring is full of diamonds and hers is plain and cheaper!
And if anyone said vodka luge in relation to my wedding they'd have been summarily uninvited.
On second thoughts, they deserve each other.

Thanks Bexta Smartie and Tia
T is currently asleep... on a bean bag. Nevermind these fancy bouncers and swings... he is quite happy on a bean bag LOL. I dont wana speak too soon but we've actually had some good nights, think the combination using infacol, gripe water, anti colic bottles and a 'kinda' routine is helping. He still likes to stay up late, but we managed to get him asleep and in bed at 11pm last night, just need to try for 10pm and that'll be perfect with OH working.
Can anyone suggest any type of routine/ way of entertaining a 5 week old? I dont want any type of strict routine, but I would like to work to something so both of us know what we are doing.
Also anyone got any idea where I can get an embroidered personalised xmas stocking for T? Mothercare have some lovely ones for £15 but I would like to pay a lot less really! I just thought it would make a nice decoration, and be able to hold his few presents... it would look so cute hung off his cot.. if he is in it by then! LOL0 -
Kitkat, at 5 weeks I'm not sure how much entertaining they can manage - Molly would feed, then be awake for about 40 minutes, then sleep for two hours, then wake and feed for 20-30 minutes then sleep for two hours and so on.
Maybe you could sing to him or dance around, or play with toys with interesting colours and textures?
I also think you can get the embroidered stockings on ebay.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Thanks SS, Theo is awake a lot actually. He tends to have a morning nap, then awake for hours, then an evening nap and again awake for a few hours. The other day he woke 11am and was awake until 6pm! Today he seems to be sleeping a bit more than usual but I imagine when he wakes will be awake for quite a while!0

The film is based on a book and it completely takes away the whole idea behind it- Im guessing Josh may have read the book first in class? The book is extremely clever, it has no blurb at all and the only indication of the fact that it is about the awful events of WW II are the blue and white stripes that go around the cover. I have read this with year 8.
However, only those with knowledge of the war would make the connection with the clothes worn by Jewish people in the death camps- very few children would. The book is written entirely from the point of view of a child and he has absolutely no idea about the cruel actions that are going on around him or what his father does. This is why it doesnt work in the film because WE, the audience can clearly see the setting. However, in the book, all the bot knows is that his father is moving to a place called Out-With ( Auschwitz). When they get there, he has no friends at all and sees people outside his window in pyjamas- he even thinks theyre lucky to be able to dress so comfortably all the time. He makes friends with another boy who lives behind a fence, they even share the same bday. Their relationship and this story are an introduction for younger ones into the history of the holocaust. It is also interesting to read with a class as I get to teach them about the past as well as discussing the moral implications of the novel (as some students still dont quite make the connection between the holocaust and the book, they just take it for what it is).
It really annoys me when books are transformed innacurately for film.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5
