See for christmas it doesn't really cost us much more than a sunday dinner... Although maybe this year we will try for a Lidl goose crown rather than a chicken... And last year we had an extra special starter of scallops and chorizo from Asda which was nice and we might have it again... We don't drink and we spend christmas just the 4 of us...

I like it just being us, we spend boxing day at my Mums with my brother and sister and 2 step sisters and their children (there'll be 9 children this year including 3 under 1s...) and it's bedlam... I always end up with a headache by the time we get home... Also, when we were children, we used to open all our presents, eat some breakfast (and a little chocolate ) and then go straight to my Nan's house, leaving most of our presents behind... Yes we got more at Nan's but it was our big presents at home that had to get left behind... I figure it's nice for my children to open the presents I buy them then spend the day enjoying playing with them...
