Its our first christmas oursleves this year, we went to mams last year but said once E was born we would have it at home just the 3 of us, OH really wanted to have E's first christmas at home even though he wont have a clue, but he doesnt want me to invite mam either

I am worryng about it already cos I dont want mam to be on her own, I might talk to my brother see what he is doing, cos if he has having christmas at his own house then he might invite mam

But then on the other hand, weve always had 10 of us aroud at either mr mams or my aunties for chrismtas, so maybe mam is sick of all that and wants to just have it to herself?

But how do you approach the subject, I cant really say what you doing for christmas oh but you cant come here

thank you this is sooooo helpful and helping other MSE members more than you know :)

Anymore views would be really welcomed if people don't mind it being too personal to say.

Susan what would it be if you added to a normal day's food spend then?

I'd say to ur mum "We're thinking of staying at home this christmas but I don't want you to be alone, do you have any plans/will you be having everyone else around?

Although personally I think a big family Christmas is way more eciting, don't you think E would be bored by lunch if he's a home as usual (well not totally as usual but I hope u know what I mean)

this feeds 4 adults as we have inlaws at christmas and 5 kids on the big day and then 2 adults and 5 kids the following day. plus a few snacks etc picking at the turkey and stuffing :D

better go and pick up my car the immobiliser stuck on and i had to borrow FIL car. I think erin was eating the keys lol!

Refused to go down for nap, instead he sat him his cot wailing and then pulled of his sock and scratched his feet till they bled - twice!!!! After the second time I put him on our bed where he just laughed at me in a "I won" kind of way. I ended up putting his shoes on putting him back in his cot...not ideal but better than him shredding the skin off his feet.

Oh Christmas! I've not even thought about this year. We normally go to my Mums, but I not sure about this year, I think it might be nice to be at home. Weezl, I suppose it depends on how many you are feeding, as it is just the 3 of us, we porbably spend onlya little more than a normal sunday roast. Probably a little extra on a nice joint, and a dessert of some description, oh an alcohol.

    Oops, the beast awakes!

:p:rotfl: I don't really tell you lot just how mental I am :o plus I wanted the views of people who didn't know me so well.

Anyway, how long did E find the security barrier exciting for? :)

ETA - someone from here has just replied! :D I didn't know said person was on that forum too (I know some other from here were)
