:rotfl: I don't really tell you lot just how mental I am
plus I wanted the views of people who didn't know me so well.
BastagesCan we help? We'll answer by PM if you want to pick your favourites.
I'm sure i'm a favorite, and can also probably convince you that i'm more mental than you.
I've ordered some books too - thanks for the link.
Weezl If like the last couple of years i'm being a very lazy, naughty Mummy, it'll probably cost £70+ from Marks & Spencer, plus wine from Asda. But it'll be enough for boxing day too.
There's every chance OH could be working this Christmas. If that's the case, it'll cost me nothing as I'll go and have it with Mum.

weezl, VERY GOOD QUESTION. I think, for once, we have no idea! ILs will likely put tons of pressure on us to go there, especially as we spent it at home (;)) last Christmas. I should be emotionally scarred against Christmas dinners considering how my last one wound up...not staying down, but I have no current aversion to the thought of the usual turkey, etc. As for price and stuff, I try and get everything on the cheap from Tesco or similar and buy a turkey when they're half-price.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Two years ago I had to go to Tesco on Christmas Eve and they had loads - loads - of turkeys reduced to £3-5 from £20-30+. I wouldn't rely on it but if you're willing to accept a quirky substitute if necessary it might be a good option.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
