I will hold my hand up high and admit to having never cooked a roast dinner yet alone an xmas one!
We go to the IL's in the morning, come home and walk the dog and then go to my parents where the real xmas starts
. We have always spent the day as an extended family (except when I went to Tenerife but don't plan on doing that again!). I can't imagine spending it at home and I know how much it means for my family to see the children.
Hi all by the way! Hope everyone is well

I went to my uncles for Christmas with the kids last year. My cousin and uncle had issues though so it was all a bit tense.
This year is Squeaks first Christmas and OH wants us all to spend it together at home
We'll invite my mum over though I think. Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

OK, I have some time.
Turkey - £20-£25 (usually a turkey crown from the butchers this includes the wee sausages)
Pre-packed stuffing balls, sausages and that jazz - £5-£7
Vegetables - carrots, parsnips, potatoes, sprouts - £6
Starter - £5 (depends what they want, prawns or melon but it ends up at about £5)
Desert - £7, usually a home made mouse or cheesecake with ice cream
Drinks - beer for DH - £7
sloer for me - £4
Lemonade for kids - £1
Crackers, napkins etc - £7
Actually, the cheesecake is easy to make and pretty cheap (for a cheesecake) would you like the recipe? Its a basic one so lots of ideas for things to tart it up.0 -

Oh right, so I caught the bus along to nursery again today (omg 90p now !!!!!!?) cause it was blowing a gale and Keira is a bit of a weirdo when it comes to wind. Anyhow on the bus and there is a chav feeding her kid maccy d chowpoos in the buggy bit, fairy muff kid was about 2 anyways, and she started arguing with the black woman behind her.
I didn't catch all of it, but chav was askin why she kept staring at her kid and sniffing and they were having an argy bargy and then all I hear is the woman saying "WHAT YOU THINK YOUR CHILD IS SPECCCCCCIAL BECAUSE HE IS WHITE!!" I was like !!!!!! is this like! Sure if it had been other way around someone would of been screaming racism or some gubbins.
You always get a bit of a drama on the number 1!0
