I used ot hate cheese, it's growing on me now. I know why I used to hate it, I was being fed the cheap crap.
I grew up eating the cheap crap too, neon orange cheese, that's not normal! Or those nasty 10 in a pack cheese squares covered in paper. Urgh _pale_

My mum comes down to mine and moans at my cheese -

    "Wheres the red leiscter?"
"Don't buy that crap, there is some goats cheese if you want.....(totalelipseofmyheart)
"GADS!! That's foul, why would you eat that, bleugh, that's from a goats t1t you know"
"OMG! REALLY? This is brand new informations! As opposed to "regular cheese" that's from a cow's t1t?" Fine you can take some of my Philladelphia.
    "What you don't have dairylea?"

Oh jesus christ, get out my house.

    Are all men thoughtless?

I made scouse for tea at Hubby's request, he's moaned all day that he's not felt right but still made all the appreciative noises about tea... I feed the children at 5 and had a handfull of grapes because I'm starving but waiting until he gets back to eat together...

He walks in and tells me he doesn't want anything to eat and sods off upstairs...

Well thanks for telling me hours ago so I could have eaten with the children...

And me saying that is apparently accusing him of being the worst person in the world...

I've always wondered what scouse is Krystal, in my head its a pot of gravy that is like a stew but involves celery in some shape or form.

Potty - none of mine ever really bothered with them as it's easier getting them to use the toilet if you can. Saves cleaning a manky potty and you don't need to take it when you go out.

Christmas - never really thought what we spend on food. My parents come here as when I was little, I hated it when we opened presents then were whisked off to relatives when we really wanted to play with our new stuff.

Usually have a turkey crown and some beef, plus all the veg and trimmings, a Christmas pud and another dessert, cheeseboard then coffee and mints.

Usually have Craig's family over on Christmas Eve and have a buffet which I bake myself but not sure how much I actually spend.

Normally have enough left over to warm up on Boxing Day to save cooking :D

Tend to buy as much as I can in advance but spread it over a few weeks so I don't notice the cost as much, then I just need to buy the fresh stuff just before Christmas.

Had a good day out today. Went to Tynemouth Priory and Castle. It's right on the coast and it was sunny but really windy. We were going to go on the beach for a bit but it was too windy, so we drove down the coast and climbed up the Souter Lighthouse instead. Everyone had a good day, but I'm shattered now :o
Here I go again on my own....

I'm fussy about cheese. I like it a lot but only the milder versions, I'm allergic to mould so blue cheeses are all out and Brie, and anything that's too strong smelling just stresses me out in case it's mouldy so I can't enjoy it.

Oh, and I'm introducing a tradition of pasta bake on Christmas Eve involving reindeer shaped pasta from Ikea and a jar of sauce with some grated cheese. Basic washing up, requires no effort at all and is seasonal, Molly can eat with us with no problem and I'll make the full bag so there's enough for leftovers Boxing Day lunch.

Keira used her potty as a fashionable head accessorie, it co-ordinated well with her wotsit stained vests.

I don't eat blue cheese either Sugar, but that's only because I have an aversion to anything mouldy. Is it a full blown allergy you have?

I remember when I was pregnant, idris got cheese and crackers through to snack on and there was fluffly mould growing on the cheese and he just cut it off and kept eating it and kept offering me, I was like OMG NO THATS SICK! Rest of the cheese was probably fine but nooooo, I check every slice of bread before I eat it, incase it's growing little spots of mould. Kingsmill is shockingly bad for mould spots appearing after a day

It's lamb stew but you do it on the top of the stove and the potatoes go mushy and thicken up the gravy :)

There is no celery in my scouse today...

There is mushrooms... But there won't be again... They don't work so well...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Do you have a receipe or is it more a throw everything in?

So I'd need cubed lamb? Veg, bisto? and some spuds?

Oh my... thread has moved so quickly. I have read some but havent time to quote/respond properly, will do later on...

With regards to xmas dinner; I have to do 3!:eek::eek: One for us (me and hubby) as it is his bday too. He doesnt like turkey so we do beef instead. Then another for my brothers as my mum hasnt actually cooked for about 10 years- all her meals are in liquid form and available from all good public houses. She hasnt bought us presents (inc. bday) since I was was about 10. :( So I make it up to my brothers. Then I make one for IL's a few days later as they dont do xmas dinner- theyre asian so curry is the main dish at their house.

It costs me a bomb. Way too much to even add up as I try not to think about it and buy bits and bats in the few months running up to xmas. My grandad used to give us the odd turkey or xmas pud. :(

Right weezl, please can I have a proper introduction as I dont know anything about you apart from the fact you have two cute boys. And who is shirl? :A

Anaphylaxis and everything. Apparently. It gets worse with each exposure, and the last time (I asked if a starter could be made without it but they just scraped it off) I had a pulse of 250 and couldn't see or breathe. It stopped after a few minutes but was very scary, and the next time would be worse so I am now super paranoid. I touched a spoonful of some slightly iffy pureed fruit to the outside of my mouth to check it a while back and got a violent headache and blisters.
