I love my son, but he is the most whiney, annoying little bra even when ill! I also think it's bloody disgusting to take a basin into a bathroom and vomit in it when there is a bloody toilet *right there!*, but DH disagrees and we had an argument. So he can bloody well deal with it all. Plus, (I'm on a self obsessed rant, feel free to skip) I'm going to miss a day of college, why do they get ill when you have stuff to do the next day?

I love stilton on steak! its my absolute fav! i wouldnt eat it alone or on anything else though:p that sounds very scarey SS, can you not take antibiotics either?

Not penicillin but most others are fine. I rarely need them anyway, I'm a healthy little horror normally. Although BFing seems to really be taking it out of me, I've been sick more in the last year than the ten before.

krystal my mum makes scouse, do you use lamb mince? do you ever make corned beef hash? thats one of my winter faves!
I use diced lamb, or if I'm skint, the cheapest bit of lamb I can find...

Hubby loves corned beef hash but it's too pink and sloppy for my liking lol... I don't like tinned meat at all...

Good luck to Jake for tomorrow :) (and I hope he has his name in his new coat!)

Tia, you have my sympathy... My husband has turned into your son... I've put the children to bed, Caitlyn's still whinging... Hubby's lying in bed looking all pathetic... "can I have a kiss?" How about no... You've just thrown up! "are you coming to bed?" no... It's 7:15.. I'm going to go and sit on the sofa away from the whingey kids and watch BBC1 because Caitlyn's naffed off with the remote control... And maybe eat more scouse... Because we don't have cake...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • I'm back and I survived a whole weekend at Center Parcs with the in-laws. Center Parcs was awesome and just perfect for Henry at the moment. He was, as predicted, blown away by swimming outdoors and he just generally enjoyed being outdoors and among lots of trees :j. The in-laws were fine, if a little over-bearing but it was lovely to have help with the baby on tap for three whole days. I did lots of cooking and clearing up while others spoiled him, but it was a lovely break and I would do it again.

I feel my brothers in law would get on well with SS's brother in terms of manners, courtesy and maturity, and I genuinely don't know how they can be quite so different to my OH.

With my frugal hat on I picked tons of blackberries while there and am in the process of making bramble jelly, which I hope will be delicious.

I'm so excited about Xmas this year....I really want to do an xmas dinner (but only if we move house before then!)

We dont have a dinner table here and the kitchen is rubbish.....
Secretly I'm Nigella/Delia/Martha S all rolled into one.... its just the logistics stopping my talent being unleashed on the world...:)

Me too :j. I frequently unleash my inner Nigella and absolutely love it!

I haven't caught up on the old thread, or on this one really.

Weezl- Christmas here is fairly cheap as we generally have lentil loaf as our main with lots of roasted veggies and a Christmas pudding made by my Nana :D. Good times. We love Christmas at home on our own and haven't been to either of our parents for Christmas for years.

GISI, I'm sorry my brother's manners seem to have spread. I'm glad you and Henry had a good time though :)

I've just posted on the weddings board and thought you might perhaps be interested in the photo.

  • Mine was £40 and Tia's was about the same but Tia was embarrassed about how much hers was, does that mean that I am extravagant cos I thought mine was pretty good (cheaper than I'd have said off the top of my head)

Might have to adopt the cheeseboard idea though.
